Abstract: A combination lock with a dial displaying window which is directed to a combination lock with the installation of a dial matching frame placed across all the dials and having at least one window for the users to check the combination numerals or symbols on the dials through the window for unlocking the combination lock. The dial matching frame may be differently constructed to provide the window with the displaying function. A magnification lens may be mounted on the window to further enhance the effectiveness during utilization.
Abstract: An improved combination lock comprises any type of conventional combination lock having nonnumerical indicia thereon including a plurality of patches of different daylight fluorescent colors for indicating a predetermined combination. Alternatively, nonnumerical indicia on the lock can comprise pictures of different animals, or different geometrical patterns including sets of at least three parallel lines. One implementation comprises a rotatable inner portion inside an outer housing, with sequential positioning of the inner portion with respect to the outer housing serving to unlock the lock. A second implementation includes a plurality of individually rotatable portions, the rotation of which to a predetermined configuration of relative orientations unlocks the lock.
Abstract: An improved combination lock includes a plurality of patches of different daylight fluorescent colors with or without additional nonnumerical indicia, for indicating a predetermined combination. Alternatively, the patches can all be of the same fluorescent color and used as a contrasting background for the additional nonnumerical indicia. The additional nonnumerical indicia can comprise different geometrical patterns including sets of at least three parallel lines, or pictures of different animals. The indicia are preferably made larger than is conventional.
Abstract: A combination padlock includes: a plurality of magnifying lenses juxtapositionally mounted on a lock body of the padlock with each lens projectively corresponding to each numeral formed on each dial so that the numeral formed on each dial can be magnified by each magnifying lens for a clear reading by a user's eyes; and a hasp pivotally mounted in a side portion of the lock body of the combination padlock having an arcuate hook member operatively lockable with a hasp socket recessed in a projecting portion extending upwardly sidewardly from the lock body in an opposite direction of the arcuate hook member of the hasp for locking an object or a staple within the hasp with a wider angular movement of the hasp. The lock can be conveniently operated with one hand to not only rotate the dials and lock and unlock the hasp, but also to move the hasp into its fully open or locked positions.
Abstract: A combination lock has a locking bolt movable in bolt-opening and bolt-closing directions by a bolt-operating knob; a plurality of displaceable locking bars each having a predetermined position dependent upon a set combination; an arrangement for preventing the locking bolt from movement from a fully-closed position unless each locking bar is in its predetermined position; a plurality of displaceable code bars connected to the locking bars; a plurality of displaceable digit slides each having an externally accessible, manually engageable portion, a plurality of digit markings and a lug operatively engaging into the associated code bar; a movable carrier plate traversed by the lugs of the digit slides, whereby the locking bars, the code bars and the digit slides are displaced by the carrier plate during a motion thereof in a direction opposite the direction of movement of the locking bolt during opening.
