Abstract: A spring ring clasp, with a closed state in which the spring ring clasp (1) forms a closed ring (2), and with an opened state in which the ring (2) is opened, having an external tube (3), an internal tube (4) which in an overlap region (5) protrudes into the external tube (3), and a spring (6) which is disposed in a cavity (7) configured by the external tube (3) and the internal tube (4). For opening the spring ring clasp (1), the external tube being displaceable relative to the internal tube (4) counter to a spring force caused by the spring (6), and the spring (6) at least in the closed state protruding from the internal tube (4) and protruding into the external tube (3). The use of such a spring ring clasp (1) is in the jewelry industry but is not limited to this sector.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a carabiner that includes a carabiner body forming an opening having a width, the carabiner body including a gate rest notch, and a gate rest. The carabiner further includes a pivotable gate coupled to the carabiner body at a pivotable point and adapted to contact the gate rest notch when in a closed position. The carabiner body is sized to accommodate an object with an aperture and a thickness, and the width is approximately less than 100% greater than the thickness.

Abstract: A small and handheld tool for opening small clasps and other closures. More specifically, the tool features an elongated handle, having a slider mechanism and a push button. The slider mechanism operates a slider or positioning arm and the spring-loaded push button operates a pair of clamps to hold the clasp in position. The slider arm and the pair of clamps extend from one end of the elongated handle. The pair of clamps secure the clasp between their rubber-tipped ends and the slider arm opens the clasp by moving a tab of the clasp radially along the surface of the clasp.

Abstract: A necklace keeper or clasp for securing a jewelry item and for receiving one or more charms. The clasp includes a support member constructed of a support ring that extends less than a full circle so as to define a support ring gap, and a top head piece that extends upwardly from the support ring. A sliding lock pad engages with the top head piece and is normally biased to an extended position. A guide ring is providing having a channel for receiving a support ring and extending less than a full circle so as define a guide ring gap. The sliding lock pad has a lock position in which it engages the support ring to inhibit relative rotation between the support ring and the guide ring; and has a release position in which there is relative rotation between the support ring and the guide ring so that the respective supporting ring gap and guide ring gap each align.

Abstract: A clasp includes a base member with a first magnetic element and a detachable member with a second magnetic element. The first magnetic element is positioned within a lateral groove in the base member and the second magnetic element is position on a tongue of the detachable member. A first cleat in the base member engages second cleat on the tongue when the tongue is secured in a seated position within the lateral groove. The magnetic elements bias the tongue into the seated position within the lateral groove in response to positioning the second cleat over the first cleat and then moving the second magnetic element into proximity with the first magnetic element. The detachable member may be detached from the base member by applying a lateral force that overcomes friction between the members and magnetic forces between the magnetic elements to slide the tongue laterally through the lateral groove.

The transport clip also includes an ear portion that depresses a latch button to an unlocked position, which allows substantially free rotation of the key blade, relative to the fob body, between the deployed position and the stowed position.

Abstract: A key fob for a vehicle has a first end that is used as a key for insertion into a vehicle ignition receptacle and a second end that defines an opening for internal storage of a separate, removable key. While the key fob will remotely unlock the vehicle doors and start the vehicle engine when turned in the vehicle ignition, the removable key is an auxiliary, mechanical access key that may be used on door locks and interior storage compartments. The key fob will not unlock interior storage compartments and the removable key will not sustain operation of the vehicle engine.

Abstract: A collar stay perforating device for perforating a portion of a collar stay and a collar stay storage device for storing the perforated collar stay are provided. The collar stay perforating device comprises a base member having a punch hole and a guide to receive an end of a collar stay. A first lever member pivotally attached to the base member has a punch member that cooperates with the punch hole. A second lever member pivotally attached to the base member bears on the first lever member to bring the punch member into cooperation with the punch hole thereby perforating the collar stay. The perforated collar stay may then be stored on a collar stay storage device comprising an openable ring member having releaseably engageable arms for forming a closed loop. The ring is openable permitting one of the arms to be inserted through the perforated collar stay thereby providing ordered and compact storage of collar stays.

Abstract: A key case includes a housing within which there is a plurality of rotationally mounted key holders. Each key holder is connected to an individual key. A plurality of buttons is mounted on the housing. Pressing on a selected button enables a desired key to swing out of the housing and move into an outwardly projecting position wherein it can be used to unlock a lock. In an alternative embodiment of the invention a selector assembly which is slideably mounted on the housing supports an operating button which facilitates pressing the desired button to select a key.

The arrangement is suitable for hanging at the open top of a bag-like device such as a purse, backpack or briefcase whereby the ornament is displayed at the same time that the keys are readily accessible without undue fishing efforts.

The writing tip in the extended position extends (a) through the tunnel, and (b) outside the housing a predetermined distance. The portion of the writing element extending from the key can be inserted into a double lock hole of a handcuff.

Abstract: The body of a portable device of an electronic key system includes a lock mechanism for removably holding an emergency key held in a housing of the body. The mechanism includes a rotary member and a torsion coil spring. The rotary member is supported rotatably on the body, and when a first end of the member is pushed inward of the body in the direction perpendicular to the rotary shaft, a second end of the member is raised outward of the body. The spring applies a constant force to the first end outward of the body. The second end is formed with a protrusion adapted to be fitted in a hole of the forward end of the key held in the housing. With the key held in the housing, the protrusion is disengaged from the hole and the key can be pulled out by pushing the first end.

A plurality of fitting projections are projectingly provided integrally on a metal holder ring held between the case members. The fitting projections are respectively fitted into a plurality of fitting holes provided in at least one of the case members. An engagement hook resiliently engaging with an engagement hole provided in the holder ring is projectingly provided integrally on one of the case members. This facilitates assembling and enhances assembly strength in attaching the metal holder ring to the grip case.

Abstract: A separable, pull-apart key holder formed of two identically-shaped pieces. The pieces are mounted together in reversed, face-to-face relationship. The pieces are formed of a strong, rigid resiliently flexible plastic material, such as molded polycarbonate or nylon. Each includes a flat, plate-shaped body having a generally planar bearing surface on one side. Projecting tongues formed at one end of the bearing surfaces are received in openings formed at the opposite ends of the bearing surfaces. Locking notches snap into engagement to prevent accidental separation of the pieces after they have been pressed together. The pieces can be intentionally separated by simply pulling them apart with a quick tug or pull, causing the locking notches to deflect resiliently and release. The pieces are reassembled by simply pressing or sliding them together, longitudinal alignment between the parts being established by interfitting ribs and channels on the bearing surfaces.

The device also includes a hand tool that has a hand grippable body portion with a rounded outer surface in which there is located finger engageable indentations. The indentations are spaced apart from one another around an outer peripheral portion of the body to facilitate gripping and turning the same. A shaft projects outwardly from the body a terminating in a rounded bullet like free outer end that facilitates inserting the same into the socket in the key holding unit. The shaft has a portion proximate the rounded end that is non circular in outline cross sectional shape that is matingly insertable into the socket in the key holding unit. For those having limited hand movement there is provided a reversible ratchet between the hey holding unit and the hand tool.

Abstract: A Child Proof Key for Barrel-housed Gun Lock is disclosed. Also disclosed object of the present invention to provide a Child Proof Key for Barrel-housed Gun Lock. The lock includes a handle defined by a slot formed along its length for acceptance of the shaft. The shaft is hinged at one end which permits the shaft to be stowed within the shaft slot. The shaft terminates in a key socket at its head for engagement with the keyed head of a bore-housed gun lock. The key further includes a bushing along the length of the shaft for centering the key socket within the barrel of the weapon, and further to identify the size by indicia inscribable thereon (or other desirable indicia). Very importantly, the shaft slot formed in the handle is defined by a shoulder and a shaft bore, with the gap between the two shoulders being slightly smaller than the diameter of the shaft such that the shaft snaps into the slot when stowed.

Abstract: An open ring-like device for holding articles such as plastic cards and keys is formed so that its ends are opposed to one another and includes tips at the ends. The distance between the tips is less than the thickness of an article. Articles can be inserted into the device by pushing the edge of an article against the tips to spread the tips apart. The article is slid in between the tips to fit a tip through a hole in the article to hold the article on the device. The device allows for the insertion or extraction of articles without a separate step of opening or closing the device.

Abstract: An attachment device for attaching, e.g., a key ring is disclosed wherein the device facilitates the reversible attachment of various connecting means, such a device having a shoulder connected to a post and such post having at least one aperture running therethrough for attachment of snap hooks, rings etc. Attachment to various desired articles, preferably belts, garments, etc. is accomplished by, e.g., securing the shoulder by adhesive means or through a riveting structure, thereby allowing a post having an aperture therethrough to extend outwardly for easy access by a user. In some embodiments, the attachment device can be loosely attached to a desired article, wherein an attachment of an item via the aperture is sufficient to secure the attachment device to the article.

A turn table for receiving a key having an end portion is attached to the key housing. The turn table is movable between a first position and a second position, wherein in the first position the key end portion is retracted within the key housing and in the second position the key end portion extends from the key housing. The key housing includes a slot between the upper and lower housings for allowing movement of the key end portion when the turn table is moved between the first and second positions. A locking device is attached to the key housing and lockingly engages the turn table when the turn table is in the first position. A push button is moveable to cause the locking device to disengage the turn table, allowing the turn table to rotate from the first position to the second position.
