Abstract: A security tag assembly structured to indicate the unauthorized removal of merchandise from a given area such as a retail establishment. A housing includes separable portions having a connector member structured to removably connect the merchandise to the housing and positionable into removable and locking engagement with a locking assembly when the housing is in an operative position relative to the merchandise. A shield assembly is mounted on the housing in protective, preferably surrounding or at least partially enclosing relation to the locking assembly so as to restrict unauthorized access to the locking assembly and/or the positioning thereof relative to the connector member.

Abstract: A method for prevent unauthorized access to a vehicle is disclosed. The method includes apparatus which is positioned within a known motor housing and actuatable only within the motor housing. In one embodiment, an ignition generator coil interrupt circuit is provided and mounted directly within the housing of the motor. A switch is connected to the circuit which allows power interruption to the ignition generator coil. When the switch is activated power interruption of said ignition generator coil is achieved to disable the engine from starting. Conveniently, the interrupt circuit is positioned entirely within the housing and therefore inaccessible for tampering. In another embodiment a switch circuit is positioned between an ECM motherboard and sensors typically associate with an automobile engine. This circuit is useful for arrangements which do not include a magneto/stator arrangement.

Abstract: Systems and methods for locking and unlocking an asset placed in a containing element may include a locking member. The containing element may be closable and may include a first lock receiving element and a second lock receiving element. The first lock receiving element may be drawn together with the second lock receiving element to close the containing element such that the first and second lock receiving elements are enclosed within the containing element when the containing element is closed. The containing element may be configured to receive an asset container. The containing element may be configured to detachedly contain at least one item. A locking member may include a base configured to be present within both the first and second lock receiving elements when the containing element is closed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for locking and unlocking an asset placed in a containing element may include a locking member. The containing element may be closable and may include a first lock receiving element and a second lock receiving element. The locking mechanism includes a housing, a hook which is selectively locked to the protrusion formed on the locking sleeve and released from it by extruding from the case and pulling back into the case, a moving member which is mounted on the slope and moves up and down the slope by magnetic force, while contacting with the side surface of the hook. The hook moves to the locking position or releasing position as the moving member goes up and down the slope.

Abstract: An anti-theft tag that uses single or dual detacher arms. A first detacher arm moves a locking arm aside such that a release arm can rotate to separate the arms of a C-clip that secures the pin on the securing member. Either the first detacher arm, or an alternative second detacher arm then presses the release arm to rotate it. When the release arm is rotated, a wedge on the release arm exerts pressure against the arms of the C-clip to force them apart which causes the securing member pin to be released. The securing member pin cannot be released by the anti-theft tag unless the detacher arms are inserted in sequence. An alternative anti-theft tag provides spring loaded door button at the entrance to the detacher arm chamber. The door button guides an unauthorized tag pick away from the entrance to the detacher arm chamber and routes it toward a dead-end. The detacher arm will press a spring loaded door button to an open position and allow access of the detacher arm into the detacher arm chamber.

Abstract: A security device (20) is provided which comprises a carrier for a tell-tale provision (43) having electromagnetic characteristics. The device (20) is adapted to be releasably secured to an article (10) to be protected, in particular to the shaft (12) of a golf club (10), in a tamper-resilient manner and to retain the tell-tale provision 43) in a spaced relationship from the article (10). In this way any adverse magnetic effects on the tell-tale provision (43) by ferromagnetic parts (12) of the article (10) are avoided. Preferably, the tell-tale provision (43) is spaced at least 3 mm from the article (10) to which the device (20) is secured.

Abstract: Accessory alarm device of computer lock, including a housing in which an alarm system is installed and a connecting plate extending from the housing. The connecting plate is formed with at least one perforation adapted to a locking bolt of a computer lock. The locking bolt of the computer lock can be passed through the perforation and inserted into a socket of the computer to lock the alarm device on the computer. The alarm device is controllably set in a standby state. In case the computer is unauthorizedly moved, the shake will trigger the alarm device to emit alarm sound so as to achieve a burglarproof effect.

Abstract: A bottle security device includes an inner member, an outer member and a cap member that cooperate to lock the bottle security device on the neck of a bottle. The inner member includes a plurality of fingers that are adapted to fit under the bead on a bottle neck. The cap member and the outer member are connected to form an enclosure therebetween which houses a locking mechanism. The outer sleeve member of the device slides over the inner member and forces the fingers against the bottle neck. Pins are connected to the inner member and extend into the locking mechanism to lock the inner and outer members together when the inner member is inserted in the outer member. A magnetic key is used to separate the two pieces and release the security device from the bottle. The key attracts a portion of the locking mechanism to disengage the mechanism from the pin.

Abstract: A disposable theft deterrent tag includes first and second elements that lock together through a portion of an item of merchandise to secure the tag to the item of merchandise. The first portion of the tag includes a first locking member having opposed teeth that are adapted to lockingly engage a second locking member that is carried by the second element of the tag. The second locking member is in the form of a stepped post that snaps between the opposed teeth to lock the post to the teeth. The tag may be unlocked by moving the teeth with respect to the post. In one embodiment of the invention, a portion of the body of the first element may be destroyed while moving the teeth from the locked position to the unlocked position.

Abstract: A theft deterrent device includes a base, a plug, and a cable assembly that is selectively connected to the base and the plug. The plug may be locked to the base to form a closed loop that may be used to hold merchandise. In situations where the plug cannot be threaded through the merchandise, the cable assembly may be disconnected from the plug to provide a smaller cross-section so that it may be threaded through the merchandise. The cable assembly is then reconnected to the plug so that the loop may be locked. The cable assembly is also replaceable so that the user does not have to discard the entire device if the cable is cut.

Each of the locking elements includes a cantilevered locking finger that is movable between locked and unlocked positions. The magnetically activated locking finger is movable to the unlocked position through use of a magnet while the mechanically activated locking element is moved to the unlocked position through use of a pin. Each locking finger engages a blocking plate that is disposed on the sliding member of the locked mechanism.

The tapered housing and the plug member include a coaxial passageway for insertably receiving the elongated prong from the first component. The plug member is resiliently biased to a first position by an expansion spring causing the balls to bear against the tapered inner wall of the housing, restricting the passageway.

The clamp member 3 is rotatably supported and disengageable from pin 21 when the clamp member 3 is rotated in one direction. The on-off switch 8 comprises an actuator 82 projecting outward from the housing 1, and a cylindrical guide portion 83 provided around the base end of the actuator 82 and serving as a pivot for supporting the clamp member 3 thereon. The device is adapted to reliably prevent unlawful acts without becoming large-sized.
