Abstract: A method for automatically determining a current offset value for the zero-point correction of a vehicle inclination sensor including the steps of while driving in a first driving direction, the current driving resistance is determined repeatedly, without regard to the sensor and stored temporarily, and a current raw signal value of the sensor is noted. Upon a change in the driving direction, the last-noted raw signal value is stored temporarily and while driving in the second driving direction. The current driving resistance is determined repeatedly, without regard to the sensor and stored temporarily. Then, if the difference between the two stored driving resistances agree with a tolerance threshold, the noted raw signal value is stored as the offset value for the zero-point correction of the inclination sensor.

Abstract: A system for use in monitoring, measuring, computing and displaying the volumes of internal liquid and gas within a telescopic aircraft landing gear strut. Pressure sensors and temperature sensors and motion sensors are mounted in relation to each of the landing gear struts to monitor, measure and record the impact movement and rates of internal landing gear strut fluids; experienced by landing gear struts, as the aircraft landing gear initially come into contact with the ground. The computer of this system measures the compression experienced by each landing gear strut and determines if the landing gear strut is improperly serviced with either excess or deficient volumes of hydraulic oil and nitrogen gas. Additional features include automating the inspections required to aircraft landing gear, prior to flight, during flight and during landing events.
Abstract: A method for performing diagnostics or software maintenance on a vehicle comprises storing components of configuration files in a central processing system. An update of the configuration files is requested for the vehicle from a central electronic data processing system based on a user request. The requested update of components of configuration files are received from the central electronic data processing system based on a comparison of a record of the vehicle-installed configuration files and target configuration information on configuration files stored at the central electronic data processing system.
