Abstract: Techniques for suggesting suitable brake-pad and other automotive-part configurations, based on information including vehicle and/or driver characteristics. In some embodiments, the information can be received by a processor or computing device, such as an in-store kiosk, smartphone, or personal computer. The information can be obtained by prompting a consumer or electronically recovering information from a database or the vehicle itself. Responses to the prompts may be pre-populated based on known car configurations and estimated use profiles. A predetermined number of limited configurations may be suggested to ease consumer choice. One a selection is made, a scannable or machine-readable code may be generated to allow a user to recall their selection at another computing device.

Abstract: A floral arrangement customization system allows a user to modify characteristics of each stem or groups of stems within a template to create a customized floral arrangement. The user can also modify characteristics about the arrangement such as its style, shape, or color scheme. Information about the customized floral arrangement is transmitted to an order fulfiller who can assemble the floral arrangement exactly according to the customized design.

Abstract: A system and methods related customized storybooks and related methods are disclosed. A method can include presenting a list of stories to a plurality of artists, providing the plurality of artists with at least one common design parameter, providing each artist with instructions to submit a version of his/her story, and executing a license agreement with each artist submitting a story version. The method can further include providing a mechanism for each artist submitting a story version to submit and receive feedback. Another method can include allowing a customer to select more than one story from a catalog, allowing the customer to select the order of the more than one story within a single storybook, and allowing the customer to select at least one language for each story selected. The methods may further include allowing the customer to provide variable text information for at least one story selected and/or allowing the customer to customize a cover page or a dedication page of the storybook.

Abstract: The invention discloses a novel device that functions as a disposable wallet, together with uses thereof and related processes and methods for design, assembly and distribution thereof. The disposable wallet invention is composed of a single, flexible substrate upon which a design template is imposed that instructs the design to either a user or manufacturing element which assembles the disposable wallet. Various utilities of the disposable wallet are articulated through the design template through the use of cuts and folds of the substrate upon which the design template is affixed. Additional utilities such as inclusion of paging may be further affixed to the substrate in accordance with the design template. The design template may be computer generated by a remote user or an assembler to provide design variations coupled with variations of the flexible substrate. Completion of the assembly may involve mechanical fastening or adhesive elements.

Abstract: Software applications that retrieve, log, and communicate vehicle-related data are implemented within a system that includes a plurality of vehicles, a worldwide network, at least one web server, at least one database server, and a plurality of internet-enabled back-end devices. Each vehicle has at least one internet-enabled front-end device, which is communicably coupled to the vehicle's computer system access device. The internet-enabled front-end device of each vehicle retrieves the vehicle-related data through a software application, which is also used to send the vehicle-related data to the web server. The web server collects data from each vehicle and properly organizes and stores the data on the database server. The web server and the database service implements a system software to manage and process the data from each vehicle. Once the system software processes the data, the internet-enabled back-end devices can access the data through external applications or information systems.

Abstract: A content submission system may provide a submission format to a content creator that allows content, including but not limited to software applications, to be submitted in a content submission bundle. The content submission system may examine the received content submission bundle, and determine one or more submission formats for submitting the content to one or more electronic content marketplaces. In some embodiments, the content submission system may act as a central broker for content submissions to multiple content marketplaces. For example, the content submission system may translate the content submission bundle into the submission formats used by respective marketplaces so that the content creator/submitter need not perform this task.

Abstract: A method to provide an improved size grid for garments is provided. Also a method to select ready-to-wear garments with a custom-like fit from the improved size grid is provided. The method uses an algorithm to select the garment size based on body measures of the customer. A method to sell and buy read-to-wear garments with a custom-like fit is also provided herein.

In particular, in certain embodiments a user may utilize the vehicle data system to obtain pricing data corresponding to a desired vehicle configuration. When the user is presented with the pricing data associated with the specified vehicle configuration the user may additionally be presented with an upfront price offered by a dealer, where by providing their personal information the user may obtain the name of the dealer offering the upfront price and may additionally be offered the opportunity to purchase the desired, or similar, vehicle at the upfront price.

Abstract: Techniques for automatically adding special effects to an image to be overlaid on a low-contrast background are presented. A stroke or an intervening layer of a color contrasting with the background color is automatically added to provide a contrasting color around the edges of visible image content in an image container of an electronic document. The technique may be applied to entire libraries of images to generate variant images that are visually perceptible when displayed or printed on low-contrast background colors.

Abstract: Disclosed is a real estate information delivery system for assisting a user in choosing a neighborhood so as to purchase, rent, or lease a real estate property therewithin. The system comprises a database comprising a plurality of neighborhood entries representing neighborhoods. Each neighborhood entry is associated with a plurality of neighborhood factor scores wherein, a factor score represents a score of a predetermined neighborhood factor that potentially influences the decision pertaining to the purchasing, renting, or leasing of a real estate property within the neighborhood. The system is configured to enable a user, via a user interface, to choose a plurality of predetermined factors that form the criteria of the user in selecting a neighborhood. Each chosen factor is assigned a percentage weightage value. A calculation module calculates, for each neighborhood, the weighted average of the factor scores pertaining to the user-chosen factors.

Abstract: The present disclosure concerns management of vehicle showrooms. A processor receives user data associated with a user and sends the user data to a database to access a vehicle configuration previously stored in association with the user data, the vehicle configuration being used in a purchase process of a vehicle. The processor then presents a user interface on a screen and presents in the user interface the vehicle configuration to proceed with the purchase process. The user data is sent to a data base to access a vehicle configuration that is presented in the user interface. As a result, the vehicle configuration that was previously stored in the database, such that by a previous visit by the user, is made available and can be presented to the user the second time. The user is not required to remember any of the vehicle configurations and no data needs to be re-entered.

A display shows the price of the vehicle with and without the options, and as icons representing the optional items are selected and deselected, the with-options price is automatically updated. The display may include an area showing a predetermined set of options and an associated price, and individual icons may be dragged and dropped into a separate selection area whose display is suppressed until an icon is moved into the selection area. Once a sale is completed, the backend system may generate customized electronic follow up communications to customers concerning certain options the customer originally declined to purchase for their vehicle as well as a timeline display of the customer's interaction with the F&I menu system display.

The website includes an available vehicle combinations list which includes a list of all possible combinations of vehicle by using data about all available chassis types and combining this with available body models that fit each chassis. The vehicle database allows the dealership, at least one dealer, at least one buyer, a body manufacturer or distributor to access the data of the commercial vehicles via a network so as to conduct trade in a simple and efficient manner.

Abstract: Methods and systems of optimization are provided for a products subscription service in appearance-related commerce for a plurality of users that considers the relevant set of attributes of a customer against the available products in order to personalize the products contained in the customer recommended packages. A customer's physical characteristics, actions and preferences are matched with different products available during the subscription period. The process maximizes the chances the customer will receive products that are preferable and in turn increase probability of the provider retaining subscribers.
