  • Patent number: 11531958
Abstract: Images capture locations of items on store shelves or on store display areas. An item inventory is automatically maintained from the images. Re-stocking rules for each item type are processed and a specific item type is automatically ordered from a vendor when dictated by a corresponding rule. A delivery of the specific items ordered is tracked within the store from the images for re-stocking the specific items within the store during the delivery by a vendor representative. The specific item delivery and restocking are verified, and an automatic acceptance of the specific items is sent to the vendor associated with the delivery when verified. In an embodiment, store personnel (admin, manager, owner) are automatically notified with a successful restocking. In an embodiment, payment is automatically made to the supplier when store personnel confirms the delivery.

  • Patent number: 11521286
Abstract: A data processing method, device and system are provided, to count the transportation number of times for a forklift transporting goods. Specifically, current state information of a target component (for example, a pallet fork) of a to-be-detected apparatus (for example, a forklift) is acquired. If the current state information indicates that the target component carries a transportation object, the transportation number of times for which the to-be-detected apparatus transports the transportation object is updated when it is detected that the transportation object is moved away from the target component. If the current state information indicates that the target component carries no transportation object, history state information of the target component is analyzed, and the transportation number of times for which the to-be-detected apparatus transports the transportation object is updated based on an analysis result.

Abstract: Where an event is determined to have occurred at a location within a vicinity of a plurality of actors, imaging data captured using cameras having the location is processed using one or more machine learning systems or techniques operating on the cameras to determine which of the actors is most likely associated with the event. For each relevant pixel of each image captured by a camera, the camera returns a set of vectors extending to pixels of body parts of actors who are most likely to have been involved with an event occurring at the relevant pixel, along with a measure of confidence in the respective vectors. A server receives the vectors from the cameras, determines which of the images depicted the event in a favorable view, based at least in part on the quality of such images, and selects one of the actors as associated with the event accordingly.

Abstract: Navigation and reward techniques involving physical goods and services are described. In one example, digital content is configured to aid navigation of a user between different physical goods or services. This navigation includes user specified good or services as well as recommended goods or services that are not specified by the user. In another example, digital content is provided as part of a reward system. In return for permitting access to user data, the user is provided with rewards that are based on this monitored interaction. In this way, an owner of the store may gain detailed knowledge which may be used to increase likelihood of offering goods or services of interest to the user. In return, the user is provided with rewards to permit access to this detailed knowledge.

Abstract: Examples of the disclosure provide a smart angled mounting piece and an angled mounting piece assembly. By providing switching units and identification circuits in the smart angled mounting piece, when one or more of the switching units are triggered by the auxiliary member, an identification circuit electrically connected to the triggered switching unit and an identification circuit electrically connected to a switching unit that is not triggered collectively generate a logic signal characterizing the position at which the electronic device is installed to the cabinet, and the logic signal is transmitted to the electronic device through the communication module. The manager may know the position of the current electronic device in real time, without the need to specifically provide position acquisition elements on the cabinet, and without the need to install a separate management system on the back-end server, simplifying the difficulty of device management.

Abstract: Methods and systems for collecting high definition images of spent firearm cartridges under different illumination conditions described herein. Features indicative of firing pin impact with each spent firearm cartridge are extracted and compared to features extracted from different spent firearm cartridges. The likelihood that the cartridges were fired from the same firearm is determined based on the differences between the extracted features. A cartridge fixture locates a spent firearm cartridge inside an imaging chamber illuminated by different combinations of illumination devices located in different locations with respect to the spent firearm cartridge. Collected images are filtered by a trained image feature filter to extract features indicative of a firing pin strike. Features extracted from different spent firearm cartridges are compared to determine the likelihood that the spent firearm cartridges were fired from the same firearm based on one or more error metrics characterizing feature differences.

  • Patent number: 11455666
Abstract: Illustrative embodiments are directed to methods and computer systems for reporting unusual or anomalous usage a commodity by consumers. A computer system retrieves a set of usage-information datasets corresponding to a set of consumers, each dataset including past usage of the commodity during at least one of a completed billing period and a current usage of the commodity during the current billing period. The computer system establishes a set of report-trigger conditions for the current billing period, each of the report-trigger conditions corresponding to a consumer. The computer system may monitor usage or spending of the set of consumers to determine, for each consumer, whether an estimated usage established for each consumer fulfills the consumer's report-trigger condition. Once the report-trigger condition is fulfilled, the computer system outputs a report to the consumer.

Abstract: A system and a method for the determination of product shelf life in a supply chain environment are discussed. The system receives periodic readings from various sensors that are associated with a shipment of produce. The system determines ambient deviations throughout the supply chain for temperature, humidity and ethylene. The system determines a product shelf life based on a calculated sensitivity and exposure to temperature, humidity, and ethylene. The system determines a remaining shelf life based on the determined product shelf life, and generates an event based on the remaining shelf life meeting a threshold. The system updates an indication of the remaining shelf life on a graphical interface for action.

  • Patent number: 11443276
Abstract: Examples provide a system for dynamic allocation of supplemental space to items based on predicted variable demand. Item data is analyzed using a set of item selection criteria to identify an item located within a predetermined distance of available flex-space associated with a topstock shelf which has a predicted time-supply predicted to be less than a threshold time-supply during a predicted time-period. A portion of flex-space sufficient to increase the time-supply enough to meet the predicted increase in demand is identified. Additional instances of the item are assigned to the portion of the flex-space during the predetermined time-period. When an expiration date for the flex-space assignment occurs, remaining instances of the item in the portion of the flex-space are removed. The portion of the flex-space is assigned to a next item predicted to experience temporary context-dependent increased demand exceeding time-supply and/or capacity of permanent display space of the item.
