Abstract: A visitor verification system 1000 is disclosed and described that can automatically authenticate a Mobile Service Provider (MSP) 3 arriving to provide assistance to a patient, or client 5 at their residence 7 while being off-line with the agency server. It also verifies the time and location a MSP session begins, periodically verifies that the MSP 3 is within the client's residence 7, logs the MSP out of the system and reports on the session. The visitor verification system employs at least one visual code located at the residence 7 that is scanned by a mobile computing device (MCD) 100. Information in the visual code is decoded and reconciled with locations determined by executable code (the App) running on the MCD 100. Once the location is verified by the App/MCD 100, the MSP 3 is authenticated. The system includes at least one beacon that transmits a signal that the MSP receives on the MCD 100.

The detail-level-feedback input is the result of a user manipulating a detail-level-feedback user interface that is generic to any factor. An entry-time corresponding to the user manipulation of the detail-level-feedback user interface may be recorded. A set of factors may be identified from the corresponding factors based on a combination of the history of intelligent agent activity and the entry-time. The intelligent agent may be modified by changing an internally represented influence of members of the set of factors on the intelligent agent. The internally represented influence may be changed in accordance with the detail-level-feedback input.

Abstract: A method for controlling a state of charge (SOC) of a battery for a cruise travel of a hybrid vehicle includes predicting, by a controller, the SOC of the battery including a change slope of the SOC of the battery for the cruise travel based on a measured value of the SOC. The method includes determining, by the controller, whether the predicted SOC of the battery is equal to or greater than a maximum value of a normal range of the battery when the change slope of the SOC is greater than zero. The method includes driving, by the controller, only a driving motor of the hybrid vehicle whereby the driving motor uses electric power of the battery when the predicted SOC of the battery reaches the maximum value of the normal range of the battery. The normal range of the battery is a region required for the cruise travel of the hybrid vehicle.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for remote direct memory access (RDMA) optimized producer-consumer message processing in a messaging hub is provided. The method includes initializing a shared memory region in memory of a host server hosting operation of a messaging hub. The initialization provides for a control portion and one or more data portions, the control portion storing an index to an available one of the data portions. The method also includes transmitting to a message producer an address of the shared memory region and receiving a message in one of the data portions of the shared memory region from the message producer by way of an RDMA write operation on a network interface of the host server. Finally, the method includes retrieving the message from the one of the data portions and processing the message in the messaging hub in response to the receipt of the message.

Abstract: A method and system for offering to provide a femtocell to a subscriber is disclosed. The method includes a computer system making a first determination (i) that a level of wireless performance experienced by a mobile station of a subscriber at a given location is less than a threshold and (ii) that at least one cause of the level of wireless performance being less than the threshold level is a network issue rather than a mobile-station specific issue. The method further includes the computer system making a second determination that the given location is location associated with a billing address of the subscriber. If an employee misses a scheduled call-in, an alert can be generated. An employer notification process can generate the alert, notifying a supervisor of the employee's missed call. The alert can include the employee's name, the location of the employee, and the time he/she was supposed to call. Such systems and methods can be used to verify that a worker is at the proper location at the proper time and awake and alert during the entire time period that he/she is supposed to be working.
