  • Patent number: 10318911
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention allow for a persistenceless BPM system capable of operating with external state and business context data stores managed by client-side applications. Operating without a state data store within the system, the persistenceless BPM system delegates the responsibility of managing and storing of the state persistence data to the client applications and relies on event message flows to communicate all relevant process state transactions to the client applications. Accordingly, state data is stored in the same data store as the relevant business context data. In the event of a system failure, the process instances are restored from the outsourced data store managed by the client application. Recoverability of operations is improved as there is no need for data reconciliation between two or more data distinct stores.

  • Patent number: 10205740
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for identifying anomalous behavior are provided. For example, a method may include receiving raw data, generating a behavior profile for the entity based on the raw data, receiving comparison data, determining whether the comparison data deviates from a pattern of behavior defined in the behavior profile, and identifying the comparison data as anomalous behavior when the comparison data deviates from the pattern of behavior. In one embodiment, the raw data includes recorded activity for the entity. In one embodiment, the behavior profile defines a pattern of behavior for the entity. In one embodiment, a countermeasure is performed upon identifying anomalous behavior. The countermeasure may include at least one of revoking the entity's credentials, denying the entity access to a resource, shutting down access to a port, and denying access to the entity. The method may further include providing a report of the anomalous behavior.

According to one aspect of the inventive subject matter, the disaster assessment system includes a sensor platform, a pre-disaster database, a historic disaster database, and an impact assessment engine. The sensor platform obtains sensor data reflecting a building site before, during, and/or after an event. The impact assessment engine derives a pre-event 3D model based on sensor data collected by the sensor platform before the event, and derives a post-event 3D model based on sensor data collected by the sensor platform after the event. Abstract: The invention provides systems and methods for improving the job scheduling structure of an organization by raising the job scheduling maturity level of the organization. In one embodiment, a plurality of job management maturity levels may be defined and arranged in a hierarchy. Current job management information may then be received from the organization regarding the organization's current job management structure. Using this current job management information, a current job management maturity level may be determined from the plurality of maturity levels. A target maturity level may then be selected from the plurality of job management maturity levels. One or more maturation operations may be devised that, when implemented, shift the organization to the target maturity level. The one or more maturation operations may then be performed, thus, shifting the organization to the target maturity level.

  • Patent number: 8862493
Abstract: In a computer-implemented process modeling and simulating environment, an analyzer receives a process model with parameters in combination with data from previous or planned process performances. An analyzer receives a simulation target from a user, calculates evaluation results that represent the influence of the parameters in view of the simulation target, and presents the evaluation results as indicators to the user. Upon receiving modifications to the performance data, the process is simulated with modified performance data. Alternatively, the evaluation results are converted to computer instructions to automatically modify the process parameters.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed towards determining a total cost for providing the at least one offering. At least one dataset provided by at least one external data source is mapped to one or more fields in at least one dataset template. Further, the at least one dataset mapped to the at least one dataset template includes information related to providing at least one offering, such as cost data. At least one category template is employed to allocate the mapped dataset information to a plurality of categories. Also, each of the plurality of categories may be allocated a percentage of the mapped dataset information values. Additionally, a total cost value is generated for providing the at least one offering and a model for determining the total cost value of the at least an offering based at least on the allocation to at least one category.

Abstract: Techniques are described for modeling information from a data source. In one example, a method for modeling information from a data source includes identifying one or more lexical clues associated with each of one or more data item headings from the data source based on a set of lexical clue detection rules. The method further includes mapping each of one or more of the data item headings to one or more business concepts based on comparing the one or more identified lexical clues associated with each of one or more of the data item headings with a business ontology that comprises a description of the business concepts. The method further includes generating a semantic business intelligence model comprising one or more semantic associations between the one or more data item headings based on the mapping of the data item headings to the one or more of the business concepts.

Abstract: A consumer experience modeling system and method includes input of an analysis of a consumer experience into a brand analysis. Consumer analysis includes data from one or more consumer experiences with a consumer environment. Brand analysis includes the input of data from the consumer analysis, and a system and method of modeling the consumer environment. The consumer experience modeling system and method allows an operator to interact with a virtual consumer environment, the key zones of the environment, and the markers therein. The operator can modify the existing markers in the virtual consumer environment, and can create and place new markers therein. The markers can be selected, edited, manufactured, and distributed to an operator's retail consumer environment. Upon receipt of the markers, an operator can access the system to properly implement the markers in the consumer environment. The system interfaces with complimentary marker ordering, printing, and product development software.

  • Publication number: 20140258172
Abstract: A key ingredient in the design and development of enterprise software systems is a precise description of the business endeavour. In practice the engineering designs for corporate systems are surprisingly poorly articulated due to the difficulty organisations face in clearly defining their business needs in a structured and unambiguous manner. One problem is that the notations used in business process specifications are technical in nature, notoriously complex and not particularly intelligible to business stakeholders. Further, since the business environment is highly dynamic, static documentation is quickly out-of-date and rarely reusable beyond the lifespan of any particular project. There is a constant disconnect between the fluid, evolving nature of business strategies and the brittle, rigid nature of process automation.

Abstract: Various systems, methods, and computer program products are described for generating and using a computer model that models development of a plant. For example, a method may include generating a computer model based on empirical data. The computer model may eliminate assumptions regarding growing conditions in order to improve outcome predictions. A method may include recommending, using the computer model, different growing conditions based on a particular plant species and observed growing conditions and/or phenotypic features of the plant. The observed growing conditions may be input by sensors and/or a grower. A method may include generating, using the computer model, a planning schedule that includes optimum growing conditions that facilitates optimal scheduling for plant being cultivated. The recommendations and/or planning schedule may facilitate comparison of phenotypic features of a model plant grown under optimal conditions and a plant being grown by a grower.
