Scheduling information is accessed from the search framework profile and a search operation is scheduled for execution in accordance with the at least one search term and search scheduling information. Abstract: Technologies are generally described for systems and methods effective to efficiently schedule a workload in a cloud computing system. In one example, calendar data is collected from respective sets of devices associated with respective sets of subscribers and a workload to be performed at a specific time or range of time is predicted based in part on an analysis of calendar data. Moreover, timing data associated with a set of predicted requests is determined based on the analysis and at least a portion of cloud computing resources that service the set of predicted requests are dynamically scheduled based on timing data.

Abstract: A system and method for allocating suppliers to customers locate a plurality of suppliers in a geographical information system. Relative capability associated with each of the plurality of suppliers is determined. For each supplier in the plurality of suppliers, the system and method generate lines by linking said each supplier to neighboring suppliers in the plurality of suppliers, establish relative capability points on the lines between said each supplier and the neighboring suppliers, and define boundaries of a coverage region associated with said each supplier based on the relative capability points. A customer located in the coverage region is allocated to the associated supplier of the coverage region.

Abstract: Various exemplary embodiments of the present invention will provide methods and systems for automatic tracking and reporting of refunds for parcels for which the United States Postage Service (the “USPS”) fails to provide delivery to the designated delivery address by a guaranteed delivery date. Various embodiments of the present invention will automatically detect a parcel for which a delivery date has been guaranteed, but for which the USPS failed to make delivery by the guaranteed delivery date. For such guaranteed delivery failures, various embodiments of the present invention will display an online report to the user, or will send an electronic report of the failure, such as by electronic mail (“email”), to the user that printed the corresponding USPS Express Mail postage, or will otherwise notify the user of, or make available to the user information regarding, such failures.

Abstract: A system tool that provides dispatchers in power grid control centers with a capability to manage changes. Included is a user interface and a plurality of scheduler engines. Each scheduler engine is configured to look ahead at different time frames to forecast system conditions and alter generation patterns within the different time frames. A comprehensive operating plan holds schedules generated by the plurality of scheduler engines. A relational database is coupled to the comprehensive operating plan. Input data is initially received from the relational database for each scheduling engine, and thereafter the relational database receives data from the scheduling engines relative to forecast system conditions.

Abstract: Accessing an energy management policy for a plurality of devices is described, wherein the devices are coupled with a first structure. The energy usage of the devices is monitored. An energy usage rule and energy usage is then compared. The energy management policy and energy usage is also compared. Based on the comparing, an instruction is generated to modify an energy usage profile of said device to correlate with the energy usage rule associated with the devices and the energy management policy, thereby enabling efficient energy management.

The dynamic simulation model is adaptive to physical changes in the energy assets based at least in part on a physical model of the thermodynamic property of the at least one energy asset and at least in part on data representative of an operation characteristic of the controllable energy asset, a thermodynamic property of the energy assets, and/or a projected environmental condition. Energy-related revenue available to the energy customer is based at least in part on a wholesale electricity market or on a regulation market.

Abstract: Methods and systems for maximizing the proportion of renewable energy relative to the total energy used during the charging of electrically powered vehicles are described. The methods and systems contemplate the acquisition, by a TSP, of data pertaining to the renewable energy mixture, i.e. the ratio of energy produced from renewable sources to energy produced from non-renewable sources, of the energy provided by one or more utility companies. Renewable energy mixture forecasts and information pertaining to charging and use of one or more vehicles are used to generate schedules for charging one or more electrically powered vehicles such that the use of renewable energy in vehicle charging is optimized.

Abstract: A method for generating an LNG supply chain design. An LNG supply chain is modeled using a plurality of optimization models. Input data relevant to the modeled LNG supply chain is accepted. The input data is input into the optimization models. One or more solution algorithms are interfaced with the optimization models. The optimization models are nm using the interfaced solution algorithms to create an optimized supply chain design. The optimized supply chain design is outputted. Uncertainty is accounted for in the input data. The size, number, and design of ships, the number of berths and storage capacity at each LNG regasification terminal and LNG liquefaction terminal, and any other design decisions are treated as variables in the plurality of optimization models.

A forecasting module (FM, 21) outputs renewable power plant relevant parameters (PF) in a prediction window of time (TW), whereas an optimization module (OPT, 22) receives the relevant parameters (PF), and proposes a maintenance schedule (PROP-MAN) for the renewable power plant (WPP) in order to optimize the produced energy with respect to the demand in said predefined prediction window (TW). A renewable energy generator condition module (WT-CON, 23) outputs condition data into maintenance recommendations (REC-MAN) for one or more renewable energy generators. Finally, a renewable energy generator maintenance recommendation module (WTM, 24) is arranged to combine the proposed maintenance schedule and the maintenance recommendations into a final maintenance decision proposal (FIN-PROP-MAN).

Abstract: A system and method is provided for generating an optimized ship schedule to deliver liquefied natural gas (LNG) from one or more LNG liquefaction terminals to one or more LNG regasification terminals using a fleet of ships. A plurality of optimization models model an LNG supply chain. The LNG supply chain includes the one or more LNG liquefaction terminals, the one or more LNG regasification terminals, and the fleet of ships. An input device accepts a plurality of inputs relevant to the LNG supply chain. The plurality of inputs are configured to be input into the optimization models. One or more solution algorithms are interfaced with the optimization models. A processor runs the optimization models using the interfaced solution algorithms to create an optimized ship schedule. Uncertainty is accounted for in the optimized ship schedule. An output device outputs the optimized ship schedule.

Abstract: Synthesizing a schedule representation from a process model includes: defining a process model for a project plan by capturing model parameters and process flow; performing quantitative analysis on the process model, such as, for example, stochastic and queuing analysis; and synthesizing a schedule representation from the process model. In an exemplary embodiment, a discrete event simulation engine is used to synthesize a schedule representation from a process model. In an exemplary embodiment, the synthesized schedule is exported to a project viewer capable of interacting with one or more users. The system and method may include receiving one or more plan change and/or decision inputs, modifying the process model based on such inputs, performing quantitative analysis on the modified process model, and synchronizing the modified process model and the schedule representation.
