The terminal update element receives changes corresponding to orders from POS terminals. The queue processor queues the changes in terminal queues that correspond to the terminals, where the state changes are accessed by the terminal update element and transmitted to a first one of a subset of the terminals, from oldest to youngest, when the first one of the subset of the terminals is operably connected to the network, and where the state changes are maintained in terminal queues corresponding to other ones of the subset while the other ones of the subset remain operably disconnected from the network. The service area map associates the terminals to one or more geofenced service areas as a function of ping latency (i.e., number of hops).

Abstract: Methods for estimating multiple types of retail business volume based on multiple types of data are described. Historical volume data, prior recorded business volume, characteristics of the store including departments, and geographical location are used. Historical data is transformed into multiple features that capture seasonality, trends, the effects of special events and other business characteristics. This data can be pooled based on business characteristics, and then machine learning regression models, e.g., multiple regression trees, are fitted to each pool of data. To estimate future volume, the same features are computed, and the regression model is applied. The estimates are presented back to the user, or transmitted electronically to other systems, including systems for creating worker schedules based on predicted volumes. Systems, apparatus and computer readable media are also described.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable media are provided for determining appropriate staffing levels above acuity-based forecast baseline values, to provide compliance with regulatory ‘patient-to-nurse’ ratio thresholds within a given service level or statistical probability. A non-zero and optionally stochastically varying leadtime may be provided for sourcing nurses and may ascertain whether significant patient demand and labor supply chain interdependencies exist via the bullwhip ratio, using predictive modeling based on a ‘safety-stock-over-leadtime’ (SSL). Variations that may arise according to different healthcare institutions' policies for shift-bidding, scheduling, use of contract nursing resources, and other aspects, may be accounted for in the predictive models.

Abstract: Systems and methods directed to managing computer resource allocation by monitoring signals indicating demand for services utilizing computer resources are described. A method includes maintaining, for each first event of first events, historical registration data and respective parameter values of the first event and identifying, for a second event having an open registration status, respective parameter values of the second event, and registration data for the second event. The method includes computing a similarity score between the second event and each first event of the plurality of first events, based on the respective parameter values of the first event and the second event and the registration data of the second event and the historical registration data of the first event, generating, for the second event, a projected number of entities based on determined information and determining a ranking of the second event.

  • Patent number: 11003628
Abstract: A variable driven, customizable data management system creates a descendent child module controllable by parameters set through action of a precedently operated architecture input module. Customizable child modules are expediently creatable to enable management of complex and disparate data sets per the requirements of particular end-users. Source files of varying file-types are determinable over network and data is extractable and pulled to populate a plurality of containers operative in the child module. Edits made to data displayed as part of the child module may be pushed over network to overwrite source files as amended. Complex data sets are thus collatable from disparate locations, over network, between partitions, even across platforms, whereby pulled data is rendered interactive for end-user control, despite local and root disunity, and displayed for interaction at a single instance.
