The system includes an input module that receives log information on a data renewal and a control module that stores a renewed data image based on the received log information when a page area where the renewed data exists is a hotspot, wherein the control module manages a hotspot control list (HSCL) including hotspot managing information and address information on a storage area in which the renewed data image is stored.

Abstract: A system and method for managing log entries associated with execution events in an application. The system and method may include a log provider wrapper for receiving log entries associated with the event and log providers for receiving all or part of the information associated with a log entry. The log provider wrapper, through communication with a logging configuration, may filter the log entry, segment information contained in the log entry, format the information, and deliver the information to one or more log providers. The log providers may send the information to a respective destination medium.

Abstract: A data archival system for the automated archiving of data files. The data archival system includes a central processing hub for receiving the data files, a data archival facility connected to the central processing hub; and an archival manager which is configured to cause the transmission of the data files from the central processing hub to the data archival facility in response to an archive request; the archival of the data files transmitted to the data archival facility in response to an archive request; the retrieval of the data files previously archived in response to a retrieval request; and the transmission of the retrieved data files from the data archival facility to the central processing hub.

The primary system includes a unit for processing data on a record; a unit for recording a processing result in a log; a unit for transferring the log recorded to the secondary system; a unit for collectively registering data of a plurality of records; a unit for notifying a collective registration log indicating execution of collectively registering the data; and a unit for transferring the collectively registered data. The secondary system includes a unit for acquiring a log; a unit for processing data on a record basis in a secondary database according to the acquired log; a unit for acquiring the data of the plurality of records to be collectively registered, if the acquired log is the collective registration log; and a unit for collectively reflecting, the data of the plurality of records to be collectively registered.

Abstract: A method and a processing device are provided for sequentially aggregating data to a write log included in a volume of a random-access medium. When data of a received write request is determined to be suitable for sequentially aggregating to a write log, the data may be written to the write log and a remapping tree, for mapping originally intended destinations on the random-access medium to one or more corresponding entries in the write log, may be maintained and updated. At time periods, a checkpoint may be written to the write log. The checkpoint may include information describing entries of the write log. One or more of the checkpoints may be used to recover the write log, at least partially, after a dirty shutdown. Entries of the write log may be drained to respective originally intended destinations upon an occurrence of one of a number of conditions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for data classification to facilitate and improve data management within an enterprise are described. The disclosed systems and methods evaluate and define data management operations based on data characteristics rather than data location, among other things. Also provided are methods for generating a data structure of metadata that describes system data and storage operations. This data structure may be consulted to determine changes in system data rather than scanning the data files themselves.
