Abstract: A method for matching a first object of a first type with a second object of a second type includes reviving one or more qualifications blocks to be applied to the first object, determining a set of qualifications for each of the one or more qualifications blocks, applying each qualification of the sets of qualifications associated with each qualification block to the first object, and matching the first object to the second object based on the applied sets of qualifications.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing sales and marketing information. A mobile device is configured to display a screen that includes a plurality of icons. In response to activating the icons, the mobile device retrieves and transmits data associated with sales and marketing data obtained by canvassing a neighborhood and displays this data to the mobile device user. The data is maintained in system database so that all system users have access to updated data on sales associate availability for appointments, job status, and sales leads obtained from canvassing. The mobile device is further configured to display a map with symbols that indicate the location of addresses associated with sales and marketing data in the database. The mobile device user may retrieve data associated with an address by selecting one of the symbols. The symbols displayed are adjusted based on the map scale and mobile device location.

Abstract: A system and method for facilitating comparing or juxtaposing characteristics or attributes of human resources of an enterprise. The example method includes displaying one or more representations of one or more human resources and providing various user options. A first user option enables a user to add a representation of a human resource to a shortlist. A second user option enables a user to initiate a comparison operation based one or more user selected human resources chosen from the shortlist. In a more specific embodiment, the comparison operation results in display of a comparison view that juxtaposes various attributes of human resources being compared. Example attributes include numbers of keyword matches appearing in human resource profiles, availability scores, locations, billing rates, qualification scores, and so on.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for using a tree-structured cluster as a library for a computing grid. In one embodiment, a request for computation is received at a cache node of the cluster. The computation requires data from an other cache node of the cluster, and not present in the cache node receiving the request. The other cache nodes of the cluster are polled for the required data. An instance of the required data stored in the other cache node of the cluster is replicated to the cache node receiving the computation request.

Logical links are used to reference a file system object between volumes. Each file system node includes a relocation directory in which is maintained hard links to locally-stored file system objects that are referenced from another file system node using logical links. Various file system operations that involve multiple volumes are performed without having to place a write lock on more than one volume at a time. Various caching schemes allow the various file system nodes to cache file system object data and metadata.

The system and method may be based on a layered architecture including a data center that may store all documents and data abstractions for an enterprise. One or more services may interact with an enterprise resource planning system and/or a customer relationship manager to facilitate interaction with the documents and data abstractions. A client access point of the system may include a graphical user interface that includes one or more enterprise management functions for managing the enterprise documents and/or data abstractions. The enterprise management functions may include a user proposal manager, an enterprise proposal manager, a proposal library, a content health manager, an archive library, a bid center, a contracts manager, a resume manager, a debriefing center, and/or a projects manager.

Abstract: A database stores a plurality of files assigned by a user to a plurality of categories representing notable events in a life of the user. The database can also store individual journal entries associated with the files. The user is prompted through a questionnaire to select a trigger event, for example, a death of the user, for making publicly available a file of the plurality of files and to approve terms of a legal document so that the user can designate a portion of the plurality of files, and optionally associated journal entries, to be made publicly available after the trigger event. Then third parties can be provided access the designated portion of the plurality of files after and responsive to the user-selected trigger event. A recipient entity, established for acquiring rights to the files, may determine conditions, including payment, for such access.

Abstract: A method and system of comparing data sets related to personality traits to identify various comparison results are disclosed. The method and system include determining, by a processing device, a plurality of data sets. The data sets include information related to a self-evaluation report for a first user based upon the first user's answers to a set of questions. The data sets also include information related to anonymous, aggregated data received from other users. The first user may select a context for performing a comparison of two or more of the data sets, including a self-evaluation report, an aggregated public perception of the first user, or an aggregated public perception of another user. The system performs the comparison to produce comparison results. The comparison results provide the first user with information related to their individual personality and/or information related to an existing or potential relationship between the first user and another user.

Abstract: A method and system of data acquisition by a listing service provider is disclosed. A network address is received from a client computer that is operated by a lister. The network address can be indicative of a location of listing data on a computer network. The listing data comprises at least one information item provided by the lister. The network address received from the lister is accessed by opening a computer network connection to retrieve the listing data. The lister makes available the listing data for retrieval so that the listing data can be posted in a search bank hosted by the listing service provider. The listing data is retrieved from the network address using the computer network connection by copying the listing data onto a listing data database.

One application of this invention is to convert job seekers' resumes and job postings into respective profiles and then permitting either a job seeker to search for job postings that most closely match the job seeker's resume or, conversely, permitting an employer to search for job seekers whose resumes most closely match the employer's job posting.

In one application, individuals associated with an institution of higher learning are automatically notified when a student submits an electronic profile form showing that the student meets a pre-specified criteria.

In one embodiment, a set of jobs listings having associated metadata that match the search criteria is identified. A subset of job listings that match the preference data is identified. The subset of job listings is a subset of the set of job listings. At least the subset of job listings can be provided to the jobseeker. In another embodiment, a set of job listings having associated metadata that match the search criteria and the jobseeker preferences is identified and provided to the jobseeker.

Abstract: Methods and systems of providing a rating of a recruiter are disclosed herein. A plurality of job listings to be posed is received from a recruiter. One or more modifications of at least one of the plurality of job listings are received within a period of time. A modification rate indicative of a rate at which a recruiter modifies job listings is calculated. The modification rate can be calculated by dividing the number of the one or more modifications by the number of the plurality of job listings posted by the recruiter. A recruiter profile can be tagged with a high modification indicator if the calculated modification rate is higher than a predetermined modification threshold.
