Abstract: Completion processing of data communications instructions in a distributed computing environment with computers coupled for data communications through communications adapters and an active messaging interface (‘AMI’), injecting for data communications instructions into slots in an injection FIFO buffer a transfer descriptor, at least some of the instructions specifying callback functions; injecting a completion descriptor for each instruction that specifies a callback function into an injection FIFO buffer slot having a corresponding slot in a pending callback list; listing in the pending callback list callback functions specified by data communications instructions; processing each descriptor in the injection FIFO buffer, setting a bit in a completion bit mask corresponding to the slot in the FIFO where the completion descriptor was injected; and calling by the AMI any callback functions in the pending callback list as indicated by set bits in the completion bit mask.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a communication tool that directly sends messages to accounts of different entities across different social media sites by automatically identifying and associating the accounts of the entities when the entities are referenced in the contents of the messages. Such identification and association is performed without the message originator manually specifying the accounts as intended recipients for the messages. The communication tool also automatically sends messages to different social media accounts of the message originator.

Abstract: A system and method disclosed for using and updating a database of template responses for a live agent in response to user communications. The method includes computing an average string distance between each response from a live agent and a template, use to generate the response, modifying the computed average string distance based on a customer satisfaction score associated with each response and selecting a response that minimizes the computed average string distance and maximizes customer satisfaction. Upon receiving a further communication on a certain issue, the system presents a prototype response that has been added to the template database to the live agent for use in generating a response to the further communication that reduces handling time and increases customer satisfaction.

Abstract: In response to detecting an incoming message (such as an email message, a text message, or a voice message) sent by a sender to a recipient, a computer system determines whether a current context of the recipient satisfies a condition. If the current context of the recipient satisfies the condition, then the system selects a response message based on the current context and sends the response message to the sender. The system's decision about whether to respond automatically to subsequent messages sent to the recipient may vary as the recipient's context changes. Furthermore, the system may select and send different response messages based on changes in the recipient's context.

An enhancement engine reconfigures the electronic message to the enhanced notification if stored information related to the intended recipient indicates that the intended recipient is subscribed to receive the enhanced notification. Reconfiguring the electronic message may include reconfiguring the message to provide special handling, routing or presentation.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for receiving from responders conversation selection criteria and mode of communication information. A request for a conversation is received, from an initiator using a first communication mode, that identifies a topic, but does not identify any responders. A conversation identifier is created. Possible responders are determined based on the topic and the conversation selection criteria. The topic of the conversation is sent to the possible responders, without identifying the initiator. A first response from a first responder is received using a second communication mode that is different than the first communication mode. The first response is mapped to the conversation based in part on the conversation identifier. The response is sent to the initiator using the first communication mode.

Networked provider computers are distributed over a geographical area that includes multiple regions with at least one providing computing capability to each region and each region receiving emergency response resources during emergencies from an emergency response computer. Abstract: A restrictive presentation system can receive an electronic message configured for offline consumption expressed as user-specified delivery conditions. The electronic message can be securely conveyed to a computing device in an online state using a communications network. A client application of the restrictive presentation system can be installed upon the computing device and can receive the electronic message. The client application can detect a change of the computing device from the online state to the offline state. In response to user-acceptance, the electronic message can be presented upon the computing device while in the offline state. Upon user-termination of the presentation, the electronic message can be automatically deleted from a storage location of the computing device. When the computing device returns to the online state, the client application can notify the restrictive presentation system of the offline consumption.

The contents of the subject and recipients fields of e-mail messages received at and sent from a computing system are hashed and stored in a database. When an incoming e-mail message is received at the computing system, the contents of its subject and recipients fields are also hashed. A search is then made of the database to locate e-mail messages identified in the database that have a sufficient number of subject and address hash values that match the subject and address hash values generated for the incoming e-mail message so that the messages may be correlated. A correlation is made between the incoming e-mail message and the best matching e-mail message located during the search of the database.

The bulletin message is transmitted directly to, instead of via email to, the wireless mobile communication devices.

Abstract: A simple message delivering device with internet function is revealed. The device has a simple message module electrically connected with one or more peripheral devices and a server, and receives warning signals corresponding to a status information and a connection information from the peripheral devices through an I/O unit, in which the connection information of the peripheral device is related to locations of the peripheral devices for a NAT unit obtaining a LAN network address of one of the peripheral devices and an internet network address of a simple message module. A message unit generates a simple message according to the LAN network address, the internet network address and the status information to output to a server for delivering the simple message to an electronic device. Thus, the present invention prevents the peripheral device having no network reporting from the retirement, and it further reduces the arrangement cost.
