Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed that provides a data replication management technique for a distributed environment that eliminates a need to order members of a replica set. A node of a node cluster in the distributed system may be configured to send in parallel an IO request to each respective member of the replica set. Reponses are received from members of the replica set that indicate a completion status of the IO request at the replica set member sending the IO response. A request is sent to other nodes of the node cluster to remove a replica from the replica set based on an error response received from the replica. The replica that responded with the error response is removed from the replica set based on an agreement of nodes of the node cluster to remove the replica from the replica set.

Abstract: System for synchronization of content between open applications. Remote access server (RAS) provides remote desktop to a mobile device. The mobile device has a remote access client component and communicates with the RAS and with an authorization component. First computer with a host application is connected to the RAS. Second computer is connected to the RAS and has a native application or a VM with a guest application. Authentication component authenticates the mobile device and the computers. The RAS synchronizes data between the mobile device and the computers, and provides a remote desktop for the mobile device via a remote access client component. The remote desktop includes the host application. Data entered in the host application for the first computer on the mobile device appears in the remote desktop via the RAS, and is synchronized with the guest application on the second computer.

  • Patent number: 11068307
Abstract: A set of computing nodes may receive a corresponding set of heartbeat messages that originated at the set of computing nodes. The set of heartbeat messages may relate to selecting, among the set of computing nodes, a leader computing node to process a set of jobs. State information included in the heartbeat messages may be provided to a leader election algorithm that outputs information indicating one or more computing nodes that are most qualified to process the set of jobs based on processing capabilities of the computing nodes and processing constraints associated with the set of jobs. The computing node may select itself as the leader computing node to process the set of jobs based on determining, from the information output by the leader election algorithm, that the computing node is most qualified to process the set of jobs and no other computing nodes are processing the set of jobs.

  • Patent number: 11070504
Abstract: Routing of communications to group member(s) where group membership is identified by physical status. A computing system detects a communication that identifies targets of the communication at least in part by physical status. The system responds by identifying at least partial membership in a group that is identified by the physical status identified in the communication, and then dispatching the communication to at least one member of the members of that group. The identity of the members of the group may change dynamically as the physical status of particular physical entities changes over time. Accordingly, a user may communicate to individuals based on physical status, rather than identify any particular individual or status group. The communication may be directed to all members of the group. Alternatively, the communication may be initially directed towards a subset of the group, with the communication being conditionally later broadened.

Abstract: The present technology relates to a reception apparatus and a data processing method that ensure reliable reproduction of content. The reception apparatus receives content, and controls reproduction of the content on the basis of time correspondence information associating first time information provided from a transmission side of the content with second time information generated on a reception side of the content by a time axis according to the first time information corresponding to the second time information. The present technology can be applied to a television receiver compatible with ATSC 3.0, for example.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, according to one embodiment, includes: receiving data replication operations from one or more compute nodes at a primary location, storing the received data replication operations in a queue, and dividing the queued data replication operations into a number of independent sub-groups. The number of independent sub-groups is equal to or less than a number of worker gateway nodes. Each of the independent sub-groups are further added to a respective one of the worker gateway nodes. One or more instructions are also sent to each of the worker gateway nodes to send the data replication operations included in the respective independent sub-group to a remote storage location. Other systems, methods, and computer program products are described in additional embodiments.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for generating a blockchain, which includes selecting, by a first master node that generated a first block, second candidate nodes from a node pool according to a consensus node selection scheme using a nonce, and selecting, by the first master node, a second master node using the result of a vote taken by first candidate nodes. Here, among candidate blocks generated by the second candidate nodes, the candidate block generated by the second master node is locked as a second block.

Abstract: A chip package system comprising N multiple processor cores can be tested by receiving a data file characterizing the chip package system. Thereafter, simulation testing is conducted for each core for each of Mi . . . j states using the data file such that each core is active in each state while all other cores are inactive. Each simulation test results in a simulation. The simulations are then combined to result in a composite test covering MN*j combinations. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

  • Patent number: 11032714
Abstract: The present invention proposes assigning a common system identification code to each of a control unit and a plurality of controllable slave units, storing that system identification code in a user-inaccessible memory of those units, and allowing pairing between the control unit and each of the slave units only if the system identification code of the control unit matches that of the respective slave unit. Thus a slave unit can only act upon a control signal if the control signal comes from the control master unit which shares the system identification code, i.e. is verifiably from the same family. This ensures that a slave unit only acts on instructions which come from a specified control unit, so providing security to the user. It is therefore impossible for a slave unit to act on instructions from any device other than the control master unit with which it shares a system identification code, which may be alternatively referred to as a family identification code or family ID.
