  • Patent number: 11102074
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media are provided for provisioning a common subnet across a number of subscribers and their respective virtual networks using dynamically generated network policies that provide isolation between the subscribers. The dynamic generation of the network policies is performed when a host (e.g. client) is detected (via a switch) as the host joins the computing network via virtual networks. This ability to configure a common subnet for all the subscriber virtual networks allows these subscribers to more easily access external shared services coming from a headquarter site while keeping the separation and segmentation of multiple subscriber virtual networks within a single subnet. This allows the Enterprise fabric to be more simple and convenient to deploy without making security compromises.

  • Patent number: 11095713
Abstract: An edge computing system comprises: a cloud computing system; an edge processing function; a connection between the edge processing function and the cloud computing system; a backend server within the cloud computing system. An assessment module is configured to receive information about processing goals, and processing capabilities of the backend server and the edge processing function. The assessment module derives a set of possible interfaces and corresponding functionality splits defining a division of processing activity between the backend server and the edge processing function. Based on a received measurement of bandwidth and/or of latency on the connection, the assessment module selects an interface and corresponding functionality split, and downloads them to the edge processing function and the backend server.

  • Patent number: 11095746
Abstract: A method for configuring an Internet service provider includes assigning an identification server to the Internet service provider, transmitting a request from a user to a server, transmitting a response containing a program logic and a program sequence to the user, in which a terminal allows the program sequence to be initiated according to the program logic, and executing the program sequence after the initiation step, in which the program sequence prompts the terminal to transmit a configuration message to the configuration server. After arrival of the configuration message, the configuration server determines the identity assigned to the user. A configuration database of the Internet service provider is modified on the basis of the determined identity in such a way that the Internet service provider processes data relating to the user according to different criteria from then on.

Abstract: In embodiments, one or more wireless stations operate to configure direct communication with neighboring mobile stations, i.e., communication between the mobile stations without utilizing an intermediate access point. Configuration of NAN includes mapping of NAN clusters and multi-hop data routing within a NAN cluster. A wireless device may transmit a subscribe service discovery frame (SDF) to one or more neighboring wireless devices and receive a respective publish SDF from the one or more wireless devices, the respective publish SDF including respective wireless device information. The wireless device may maintain a data structure comprising the respective wireless device information. In some embodiments, the wireless device information may include an address, hop count, and/or service indications, e.g., for data routing and/or service discovery.

  • Patent number: 11095730
Abstract: An automated device discovery system includes a first computing device and second computing devices that are included in a trust domain. The first computing device generates and broadcasts a discovery request for target computing device identification information. Each of a first subset of the second computing devices receives the discovery request from the first computing device and, in response to being in the trust domain with the first computing device, determines that a target computing device type qualifier included in the discovery request identifies a type of that second computing device. In response, each of the first subset of second computing devices executes a command block that is included in the discovery request to generate and transmit identity information for that second computing device that is configured for use by the first computing device in configuring that second computing device to provide a hyper-converged infrastructure system.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus that allow clients to establish sub private networks as resources within private networks on a provider network. A sub private network may be owned and controlled by a different entity than the owner of its parent private network. A parent private network controls access to its sub private networks, and each sub private network also controls access to its resources. This enables a layered topology in which a parent private network may establish access control rules for its sub private networks; the sub private networks may supplement the access control according to their specific needs. Sub private networks may share resources of their parent private network, and a sub private network may allow or restrict access to its resources by its parent private network, by its sibling private networks, and/or by its own sub private network(s).
