Abstract: A method and system to provide timebase synchronization for multiple processors in a multi-processor sensor system, where each processor operates according to a respective reference clock, and where the processors' respective reference clocks are off sync from each other. An example method includes simultaneously injecting a synchronization pulse respectively into the multiple processors. Further, the method includes recording for each processor, according to the processor's respective reference clock, a respective synchronization-pulse timestamp of the simultaneously injected synchronization pulse, comparing the respective synchronization-pulse timestamps recorded for the processors, and, based on the comparing, computing for each processor a respective time offset. Additionally, the method includes using the per-processor computed time offsets as a basis to provide a synchronized timebase across the processors.

  • Patent number: 11824784
Abstract: Various approaches for implementing platform resource management are described. In an edge computing system deployment, an edge computing device includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory. The processing circuitry is configured to obtain, from an orchestration provider, an SLO (or SLA) that defines usage of an accessible feature of the edge computing device by a container executing on a virtual machine within the edge computing system. A computation model is retrieved based on at least one key performance indicator (KPI) specified in the SLO. The defined usage of the accessible feature is mapped to a plurality of feature controls using the retrieved computation model. The plurality of feature controls is associated with platform resources of the edge computing device that are pre-allocated to the container. The usage of the platform resources allocated to the container is monitored using the plurality of feature controls.

  • Patent number: 11824640
Abstract: Example implementations relate to a method for reconfiguring a network based on network traffic comparison. The first network supports multicast Domain Name Service (mDNS) query with multicast query-response messages. The method includes determining a client type for each client device and a first average packet count for each client type in a first network. The method includes receiving a second average packet count for each corresponding client type from a second network. The second network supports mDNS query with unicast query-response messages. A difference between the first average packet counts and the second average packet counts for corresponding client types is computed. The first network is reconfigured to respond to mDNS query with unicast query-response messages when the difference computed for at least one client type in the first network and each corresponding client type in the second network is above a predefined threshold.

  • Patent number: 11823214
Abstract: An online system receives a completed order of items fulfilled by a picker and a transaction log of the completed order from a retailer where the completed order was fulfilled. The online system compares the completed order of items to the transaction log of the completed order to identify one or more unmatched items. The online system generates, at an auditor client device, a user interface that shows the unmatched items and an option to mark each unmatched item as a fraud instance. The online system receives an indication of a fraud instance for one of the unmatched items from an auditor via the user interface. The online system adds a value of the fraud instance to a fraud total of the picker. If the online system determines that the fraud total for the picker exceeds a threshold, the fraud module deactivates the picker's account.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method according to one embodiment includes defining a network resilience construct of an internet-based network. The network resilience construct includes rankings for nodes of the internet-based network. The nodes of the internet-based network are manipulated to determine an Activated Core Affluence (ACA) of the internet-based network, and the ACA defines a likelihood, for each node, of retaining the ranking for the node upon a first group of the nodes losing connection with the internet-based network. The method further includes determining, based on the ACA, a resilient portion of the network that includes an activated core of the nodes. Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable media are provided for facilitating patient health care through automatic discovery, establishment, and statistical validation of diagnostic-signals in repositories of EMR information, identifying phenotypic diagnostic signals regarding markers or combinations or sequences of patient attributes. Some methods include identifying a first group of patients that have one or more markers and extracting one or more diagnostic statuses that pertain to the whole genome sequencing (WGS) or whole exome sequencing (WES). Statistically significant differences involving frequent itemsets are identified and may be used to evaluate membership of an individual in a class indicative of potential diagnosis via WGS or WES.

Abstract: In one example, a server obtains a plurality of code modules configured to identify issues in one or more network devices of a target network. Based on the plurality of code modules, the server generates a fingerprinting process configured to produce a fingerprint that includes a plurality of key-value pairs. Each key of the plurality of key-value pairs is a unique key that corresponds to select data associated with raw data obtained from the one or more network devices. Each value of the plurality of key-value pairs represents information regarding the select data. Based further on the plurality of code modules, the server generates an analysis model that is uniquely compatible with the fingerprinting process. The analysis model is configured to identify the issues in the one or more network devices based on the key-value pairs.

Abstract: Performance degradation of an application that is caused by another computing process that shares infrastructure with the application is detected. The application and the other computing device may execute via different virtual machines hosted on the same computing device. To detect the performance degradation that is attributable to the other computing process, certain storage segments of a data storage (e.g., a cache) shared by the virtual machines is written with data. A pattern of read operations are then performed on the segments to determine whether an increase in read access time has occurred. Such a performance degradation is attributable to another computing process. After detecting the degradation, a metric that quantifies the detected degradation attributable to the other computing process is provided to an ML model, which determines the actual performance of the application absent the degradation attributable to the other computing process.

  • Patent number: 11816694
Abstract: The embodiments set forth techniques for managing advertisement attributions. A first technique can be implemented by an “app store” application, and include the steps of (1) receiving, from a first user application, a request to view a second user application, where the request includes a set of digitally-signed parameters that are specific to an advertising campaign (provided by an advertisement network) for the second user application that is presented by the first user application. In turn, and in response to identifying that the second user application satisfies at least one criterion, the app store application provides the set of digitally-signed parameters to an advertisement metrics manager that: (i) verifies the set of digitally-signed parameters, and (ii) indicates, to the advertisement network, that business logic should be carried out in association with the first user application and the second user application. A second technique for managing advertisement attributions is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11818026
Abstract: A software and/or hardware facility for scoring the quality of traffic to a site accessible via the Internet or other network. The facility extracts data from one or more data logs that are obtained from a publisher, advertiser, or third party. A multi-factor analysis in the form of a rule set is applied by the facility to the data. The analysis of the data identifies agent actions that are desirable to a publisher, advertiser, or third party. The facility generates a relative score for each agent action. The score may be used to assess the quality of traffic received by a network site. Lower scores are indicative of traffic having little value, whereas higher scores are indicative of traffic having greater value. The score may be provided to an advertising network and used to charge a variable amount for advertisements based on the quality of traffic that the advertisements receive.
