The apparatus sets the automatic execution folder in which a process content has been set, and adds, in a case that a file is to be moved to the automatic execution folder by a first application, a piece of uniquely specifiable identification information to the file, and determines, in a case that the first application is to automatically execute a file held in the automatic execution folder, whether or not the identification information has been added to the file, and performs control to automatically execute the file in a case that the identification information has been added, and not to automatically execute the file in a case that the identification information has not been added.

Abstract: A method for improving reading proficiency in persons in need of improvement. The method includes the steps of providing a body of digital text on an electronic device; extracting a selected portion of digital text from the body of digital text; analyzing the selected portion by natural language processing to produce a phonetical font, the phonetical font including a representation of a letter that when heard or said voices a phoneme of the letter; rendering the analyzed selected portion into the phonetical font; and utilizing the phonetical font to increase reading proficiency.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable medium for video tone mapping. The method includes a target display receiving a quantized video generated by a master display, the quantized video being mastered for a first range of luminance values associated with the master display; receiving metadata from a tone mapping curve parameter extraction, the metadata comprising at least one maximum value of a luminance parameter of the quantized video as mastered for the first range of luminance values; and de-quantizing the quantized video to produce a de-quantized video. The method also includes at least one processor of the target display applying a tone mapping function defined by a normalized Bezier curve to the de-quantized video; and generating, based on applying the tone mapping function, a tone mapped video mastered for a second range of luminance values associated with the target display.

Abstract: This disclosure involves selecting and applying font features to improve the layout of text. For example, a computing system receives initial text. The computing system calculates an improvement metric representing a layout improvement of a font feature applied to the initial text. The font feature includes replacing a first glyph with a second glyph. The font feature, when applied to the initial text, may result in a layout improvement, which can be quantified using the improvement metric. Based on the calculated improvement metric, the computing system applies the font feature to the initial text to generate updated text. The computing system generates, for display on a display device, the updated text.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to processing operations that generate and present personalized content suggestions to assist a user with document creation. Machine learning modeling may be trained and implemented to evolve pre-canned suggestions for document creation into highly personalized content suggestions, thereby improving the document creation process and user interface experience for users of applications/services that are utilized to create digital documents. As an example, signal data may be detected and analyzed, identifying a specific user's intent to create a digital document. Machine learning modeling may be implemented to evaluate different aspects of collected signal data and identify content from previously created documents, associated with a user account, that may be most relevant to the real-time document creation experience of the user. Personalized contextual suggestions may be presented to a user through a user interface.

The content items are added to the digital collaboration space by one or more users. For each of the content items, category metadata is determined using a learning model that processes information associated with the content item. A rearrangement of the content items is determined based on the category metadata determined for each of the content items. The content items, rearranged according to the rearrangement, are then output to a layer of the digital collaboration space. Other rearrangements of the content items can be determined based on non-category metadata associated with the content items, and the content items, rearranged according to those other rearrangements, can be output to other layers of the digital collaboration space.

The processor identifies an application to which the event generated belongs to by accessing a database that stores the application and host details; fetches functional identification (ID) of the application from the database, identifies the type of job failure or service degradation; automatically executes, by utilizing predefined micro services, the steps required for mitigation; records, in response to executing, outcome of the mitigation in the database along with output at each stage of execution; and evaluates the outcome of the mitigation by executing health checks using micro services to determine whether the failed job or process or host is healthy; and closes the incident based on healthy determination.

In a virtual environment picture, a temporary entry control and a function prompt information about location customization are displayed. A location adjustment operation is triggered on the temporary entry control, and a drag operation on the temporary entry control is provided in an editing state, with the temporary entry control dragged from a first location to a second location. The temporary entry control is displayed at the second location. When the temporary entry control is displayed for the first time, a location of the temporary entry control is adjusted by directly dragging the temporary entry control, which simplifies location adjustment and improves efficiency.

An intention score is determined for each interactive object based on the intention values of pixels that correspond to the interactive object. An interactive object of the plurality of interactive objects is determined to be a focused object that has the user's focus based on the intention scores of the plurality of interactive objects.

For example, a typeface design application provides a design interface for modifying a design of an input character from a typeface. The typeface design application accesses a machine-learning model that is trained, using multiple training typefaces, to recognize the input character as a reference character. The typeface design application receives, via the design interface, an input modifying the design of the input character. The typeface design application determines that the machine-learning model cannot match the reference character to the input character having a modified design. The typeface design application outputs, via the design interface, an indicator that the input character having the modified design is not recognized as the reference character.

Abstract: Technologies for implementing embedding interactive content into a shareable online video. The technologies include an authoring tool including a graphical user interface (GUI). The tool can be used to input an edit decision list (EDL) file and a video file that has a video. The GUI can provide a view of specific scenes of the video according to the EDL file and the video file. The GUI can also provide interactive features. Through the GUI and/or the tool, a selection of a scene of the specific scenes can be inputted as well as a selection of an interactive feature from the interactive features can be inputted. Then, the tool can embed the selected interactive feature into the selected scene at a selected specific spatial location in the selected scene. The tool can also output the video file with the embedded interactive feature.

During a user session with respect to a productivity application that includes status-based reading and authoring assistance, signals (e.g., user actions and context information) associated with a file can be received. A status regarding the use of the file can be determined using at least the signals. The status can comprise a reading status or an authoring status (or even a sub status). Reading and authoring tools provided for a display of the productivity application can be adapted based on the status during the user session.

Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include accessing an audio track that is associated with a video recording, identifying a section of the accessed audio track having a specific audio characteristic, reducing a volume level of the audio track in the identified section, accessing an audio segment that includes a synthesized voice and inserting the accessed audio segment into the identified section of the audio track, where the inserted segment has a higher volume level than the reduced volume level of the audio track in the identified section. The synthesized voice description can be used to provide additional information to a visually impaired viewer without interrupting the audio track that is associated with the video recording, typically by inserting the synthesized voice description into a segment of the audio track in which there is no dialog. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: A user interface includes a display and a controller configured for displaying image frames with variable contents. Each image frame includes a selection of display items. At least some of the image frames include a summary window displayed at a fixed location on a screen of the display. The controller is configured to assign a summary attribute to at least some of the display items and to display these display items in the summary window. The controller has an editing function allowing a user to change a configuration of the image frames. The editing function includes a function allowing the user to assign the summary attribute to a display item by dragging the display item into the summary window.

The above solution can achieve the generation of a color scheme according to a color of a picture in the file, reducing the workload of the user in generating the color scheme, and improving the visual effect of the target file.

Abstract: In operating an ecommerce marketplace, pre-generated metadata is used to transform images after a request is received, in real-time, and with low latency. To accomplish the high-speed image transformation, an offline annotation of relevant image features is obtained using machine learning and metadata is stored based upon the results. The metadata is then used to perform the high-speed image transformation at request time. The transformations can include image cropping, adjustment in saturation, contrast, brightness, extracting portions of the image, etc. In one example, the metadata includes a bounding box giving coordinates of how to crop an image so that the image can be cropped without analyzing content or context of the image. Instead, to obtain the coordinates of the bounding box, content and context of the image are analyzed in pre-request processing. In this way, when the request is received, the more difficult and time-consuming processing is already completed.

The method, computer program product and computer system may include a computing device that collects source content and source content metadata from a content device. The computing device may extract the metadata from the source content and store the source content and the metadata on a server. The computing device may receive user profile data from a user device. The computing device may map the semantic data of the source content, the metadata, and the user profile data to a knowledge graph. The computing device may create navigational panels for navigating the source content based on the knowledge graph, the navigational panels enabling non-linear navigation of the source content by a user. Abstract: An electronic medical records (EMR) system that enables a user to import paper-based clinical form templates (typically Word documents) and insert data tags in the data fields on the templates. This approach allows the user to retrieve clinical data from user inputs and from hospital recordkeeping systems, such as HIS, LIS, RIS/PACS, and others to generate EMR forms. Medical personnel can then access the data to generate descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive analytics including vital sign charts, drug interaction warnings, and drug recommendations. The system also enables secure data sharing between healthcare facilities using a blockchain system or a FHIR server. Upon signing an EMR form with one or more electronic signatures, the system generates a digitized image including images of the electronic signatures. The system generates hash of the digitized image and store the hash to the blockchain system, wherein the hash is used to verify the signed EMR form.
