Abstract: System and method for editing a graphical diagram. A graphical diagram, such as a graphical program, is displayed on a display device. User input may be received editing the graphical diagram, thereby generating an edited graphical diagram. Placement of one or more elements in the graphical diagram may be adjusted in response to the editing based on determined forces applied to the one or more elements in the edited graphical diagram based on the said editing, resulting in an adjusted edited graphical diagram. The adjusted edited graphical diagram may be displayed on the display device, which may include displaying an animation illustrating the movement of the elements to an equilibrium state in which the forces balance and movement ceases. The editing, adjusting, and displaying may be performed sequentially and/or concurrently, as desired.

Abstract: Techniques for associating strokes information generated at an interactive whiteboard system with a user identifier. The user identifier may, for example, be an image of a user who generated the strokes information. The associating may be performed based upon time stamps associated with the strokes information and the image. Information may be stored indicative of the association between the strokes information and the user identifier.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and a method of controlling the operation of the mobile terminal are provided. The method of one embodiment includes displaying an electronic document on a display module; responsive to detecting a scroll command, scrolling the electronic document in a particular direction at a particular speed; and changing a speed of scrolling the electronic document upon encountering a scroll limit during the scrolling of the electronic document. Therefore, it is possible to set a scroll limit in an electronic document and thus to automatically slow down or stop the scrolling of the electronic document upon encountering the scroll limit.

Abstract: For wiring web widgets of a web mashup application, a web widget registry may be generated based on one or more properties of the web widgets of the web mashup application. Based on the web widget registry, the web widgets of the web mashup application may be wired together, without requiring input from a user. A facet tree is initialized to present facet-converted stored tabular data and dynamically entered user-input data on multiple facet nodes. The facet nodes represent directories for the facet-converted stored tabular data and user-input data. In response to a single facet node from the multiple facet nodes being selected by a user, the single facet node is expanded by presenting, on the facet tree, all other facet nodes from the multiple facet nodes as children of the single facet node that was selected by the user. In response to a child of the single facet node being selected, value directories for the child are retrieved and presented according to a definition of the single facet node that was expanded.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and techniques for assigning hotkeys to legacy tasks as part of modernizing such tasks are provided. A user can assign a hotkey to an individual task so that the user can have instant access to a legacy or a non-legacy task without needing to navigate to “sub-” tasks of the legacy task. Hotkey access may be used with role-based modernization of legacy tasks to provide navigation to and from legacy tasks without starting and stopping sessions. Example embodiments provide a Role-Based Modernization System (“RBMS”), which uses these enhanced modernization techniques to provide role-based modernization of menu-based legacy applications.

The method includes performing a keyword search at a computer device based on the search query to generate keyword search results. The method includes performing a natural language search of a frequently-asked question database based on the search query to generate frequently-asked question search results. The method also includes outputting a display page for display at a display device. The display page categorizes the keyword search results and the frequently-asked question search results into a plurality of categories.

Abstract: A method for adjusting an input-method keyboard includes: recording the sliding trajectories of a user's two fingers, and the trajectories include two starting contact points and two ending contact points of the two-finger sliding gesture; calculating an adjustment ratio according to the sliding trajectories; obtaining the current state of the input-method keyboard, and the state can be one of a maximum state, an intermediate state and a minimum state; and adjusting the size and/or layout of the current input-method keyboard according to the adjustment ratio and the current state of the input-method keyboard. The mobile terminal for adjusting an input-method keyboard includes a recording module, a calculation module, an acquisition module and an adjustment module. This method allows users to intuitively modify the size and layout of the input-method keyboard comprehensively, thus avoids accidental operation, enhances the user experience and strengthens the reputation and competence of the product.

Abstract: Various methods and systems for collaborating on the specification of an interactive graphical design are provided. An exemplary system comprises a graphical design environment. The system also comprises a note interface in the graphical design environment that displays a note field for accepting a text string from the user. The system also comprises a design player that renders the design. The system also comprises a discussion interface that: (i) is displayed in the design player consistently with the design; (ii) displays the text string from the user as a note; and (iii) accepts a comment from a second user regarding the note. The system also comprises a data store accessible to the graphical design environment and the design player. The comment is displayed in the graphical design environment after being accepted in the discussion interface.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a system and method for system status visualization. In one embodiment, an operating system may comprise an expandable component tree graphic, comprising a plurality of parent icons and a plurality of child icons. In some embodiments of the present techniques, a plurality of dynamic component graphics are associated with the plurality of parent icons and the plurality of child icons, whereby the dynamic component graphics are adapted to change based on changes relating to the status of a computer resource. Additionally, a configurable sorting system may be adapted to pass a dynamic component graphic feature up the expandable component tree graphic from one of the plurality of child icons to at least one of the plurality of parent icons based on a configuration of the sorting system.

Abstract: A method and system for rapidly generating software applications is provided. An application model of a software application is generated which comprises modeled components and technology stack information. The modeled components correspond to functional and design aspects of the software application. The application model is generated by dragging and dropping multiple components into corresponding modeling perspectives defined in a visual modeling environment. Descriptors are generated for the application model which are logical representations describing each of the modeled components. Further, the descriptors are generated from application model object of the application model. Furthermore, technology templates are identified based on the technology stack information in the application model. The technology templates are predetermined templates comprising scripting languages for automatically transforming the application model into one or more technologies.

The system and method combine similar data into data strings using a programming language referred to as Text-SQL that separates and relates the data using delimiters. These groups of data strings are assigned a name and stored in a Name/Value storage container with the value being the grouped data string. The present invention uses simple dot-notation to parse the data strings into specific detailed information, which may be accomplished through an application programming interface (Text-SQL API) that provides functions for updating, deleting, retrieving, and storing data. The audio contextual cues can be based on an analysis of a document prior to a text-to-speech conversion. Another aspect can produce an audio summary for a file. The audio summary for a document can thereafter be presented to a user so that the user can hear a summary of the document without having to process the document to produce its spoken text via text-to-speech conversion.
