Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for providing to a user rapid access to search resources while interacting with electronic documents by providing for recognition of user initiated search triggers that result in searches being performed with minimal user input or page navigation. The method and system includes generating, by a server computer, a web page, injecting code into the web page, and transmitting the web page to a client computer. The code, when executed on the client computer, detects a search interface trigger occurring during display of the web page, the search interface trigger not associated with an input focus of the web page or of a browser on the client computer, detects a search execution trigger after the detecting of the search interface trigger, and transmits, to a search entity, a request for search results related to content associated with the search interface trigger.

The music diary processor receives a plurality of event identifiers from a user, wherein each event identifier identifies a respective life event associated with the user. The user can also provide a date identifier identifying a date associated with the life event, a song identifier identifying one or more songs identified by the user as being associated with the live event. The event identifiers, song identifiers and the date identifiers are stored in an electronic storage medium wherein each song identifier and date identifier is coupled with at least one respective event identifier, and a plurality of event identifiers are coupled with each other. The music diary processor can serve as a music discovery vehicle, wherein the music diary processor can use data entered by a user to locate songs and other data associated with other music diaries.

Abstract: Techniques are presented herein to enable a first device participating in a conference session to adapt its displayed content being shared from a second device that has a larger display and can therefore display a larger area of content than the first device is capable of displaying. The first device has a first display and displays a portion of content being displayed on a second display of the second device that is being shared with the first device during an online conference session. The first device detects when a first change has occurred in the content that is outside of the portion displayed on the first display. A graphical element is displayed on the first display, the graphical element indicating that the first change has occurred in the content outside of the portion being displayed on the first device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for analyzing entity performance. In accordance with one implementation, a method is provided that includes receiving data associated with a geographic region and transforming the received data into an object model. The method also includes analyzing the object model to associate the received data with a plurality of entities and to associate the received data with a plurality of sub-geographic regions of the geographic region. The method also includes applying a prediction model to the plurality of sub-geographic regions using the object model to determine a predicted performance for at least one entity of the plurality of entities. Further, the method includes determining actual performance for the at least one entity and providing a user interface that includes information associated with the predicted performance, the actual performance, or a combination of the predicted performance and the actual performance.

The intelligent, object-oriented software can apply rules and behaviors automatically, not only providing an accurate, valid layout, but also optimizing the layout. The intelligent, object-oriented software can recognize required changes effected by a user-driven change, and automatically resolve the layout design.

Abstract: A software program for use in designing interior and exterior spaces receives user input that is associated with one or more attributes. Subsequent user input, having other attributes, is resolved in light of the first input attributes to create a real-world depiction of design choices in real-time. For example, design choices that conflict with prior design choices are resolved (or modified as necessary) to ensure that each of the prior and present user input choices are represented in an appropriate way. The resolution by the design software is also used to create an accurate parts (and/or price) list so that when the user has completed the design of an exterior or interior space, the design can be submitted directly as an order to be fulfilled. Generally, continual resolution ensures that the user's design intent is captured in an accurate and efficient way in a user interface.

Thumbnail images associated with each motion image are displayed in an expanded form in the order of time.

Abstract: An approach that provides transmission and notification of a real-world event to a virtual universe user is described. In one embodiment, there is a method for notifying a resident that is on-line in a virtual universe of an occurrence of a real-world event. The method includes receiving an indication of the occurrence of the real-world event, mapping the indication of the real-world event into one of a plurality of communication representations, and notifying the resident in the virtual universe in accordance with the mapped communication representation.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a user interface with a menu that facilitates stimulation therapy programming. The user interface displays a representation of the electrical leads implanted in the patient and at least one menu with icons that the user can use to adjust the stimulation therapy. The user may drag one or more field shapes from a field shape selection menu onto the desired location relative to the electrical leads. A manipulation tool menu may also allow the user to adjust the field shapes placed on the electrical leads, which represent the stimulation region. The programmer that includes the user interface then generates electrical stimulation parameter values for the stimulator to deliver stimulation according to the field shapes or field shape groups defined/located by the user. The field shapes may represent different types of stimulation representations, such as current density, activation functions, and neuron models.

The screen element s-machine manages data associated with a screen element rendered to the display screen within the rendering region at the first layer.

Abstract: An electronic device and a user interface display method thereof are provided. The method includes the following steps. First, organize a plurality of computer programs and a web browser executable on the electronic device into a virtual book. Each page of the virtual book includes a user interface of one of the computer programs or a web page displayed by the web browser. Next, display one of the pages as a current page so that the user interface or the web page of the current page is accessible to a user of the electronic device. Next, display a stand-up view of the virtual book in response to a first operating action performed by the user. The stand-up view includes a plurality of the pages adjacent to the current page and a virtual switch attached to a side of the virtual book.
