A request-related information recording unit records a request-related information item in the request-related information management unit in response to a processing request. A Web page creation unit creates a Web page with which a user interface corresponding to the request-related information item concerned is displayed based on the request-related information item recorded in the request-related information management unit by the request-related information recording unit.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a user interface, data structure and method to facilitate management and/or access to data, such as by grouping graphical representations of the data in an image space relative to cluster indicators. A given graphical representation for selected data (e.g., a graphical object) can be associated with a corresponding cluster indicator based on its proximity to the cluster indicator. Thus, cluster membership can be changed, in accordance with an aspect of the present invention, by moving graphical objects relative to the cluster indicators.

The method involves storing a plurality of successive profiles for an image recording device, and changing at least two of the successive profiles when characteristics of the image recording device change. Abstract: Methods and systems for specifying settings used by a file are described. A file is accessed using a software application. Associated with the file are global settings defined by the application. The application automatically imposes the global settings on all files associated with the application. However, a file-specific setting is defined for the file and saved. The file-specific setting replaces a corresponding global setting defined by the application for the file. The global settings for other files associated with the application are not affected by the file-specific setting. The file-specific setting is used instead of the corresponding global setting upon subsequent accessing of the file.

Abstract: The present invention provides a unique system and method that facilitates navigating smoothly and gracefully through any type of content viewable on portable devices such as cell-phones, PDAs, and/or any other hybrids thereof. In addition, such navigation can be performed while preserving perspective and context with respect to a larger amount of content. Pointing devices can also be used to navigate through content—the amount or detail of the content being dependant on the speed of the pointing device. Additionally, a semi-transparent overview of content can be overlaid a zoomed-in portion of content to provide perspective to the zoomed in portion. Content shown in the semi-transparent overview can depend on the location of the pointing device with respect to the content.

Abstract: A topological best match naming convention apparatus and method for graphical user interface (GUI) testing are provided. With the apparatus and method, properties of the GUI object are recorded and stored in a GUI object database. During execution of test scripts, if a lookup of an GUI object's name to its runtime control fails, the present invention attempts to perform a match with the currently known objects. The matching mechanism is based on a comparison of the properties of the GUI object to properties of known GUI objects. With this mechanism, a predetermined set of properties is collected from the GUI object that is subject to the test script and for which the lookup of the runtime control failed. Each property of the known GUI objects in the GUI object database is assigned a weight based on the probability that a GUI object having a matching property is the same GUI object.

Abstract: A system, method, and program controls the occurrence of unsolicited browser windows by enabling a user to specify a maximum depth of a window that can be opened. Before opening a new window, the browser determines the window depth in relation to the specified depth. If the new window to be opened has a given depth in relation to the specified setting which allows the new window to be opened, the window will be opened. If the new window to be opened has a given depth in relation to the specified setting which does not allow the new window to be opened, the window will not be opened. Furthermore, the browser prevents a new window from being opened from a current window if the current window is being closed.

Abstract: A multi-layer graphical user interface provides multiple types of information in at least two layers of a common display space, such as a window. In one implementation, a shared network folder includes two layers of display objects to separately represent files contained in the folder and users with whom the folder is shared. The first or top layer may represent the files with conventional words, icons or other symbols. The second or lower level may represent the users with whom the folder is shared with words, icons or other symbols that are dimmed, blurred, or otherwise de-emphasized relative to the top layer.
