Abstract: The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer program products for biological inventory tracking using cloud services and mobile devices. According to one method, information is input from a mobile device about a specimen sample. The information includes an image of the specimen sample captured using the mobile device including an identifying indicia. The information is uploaded and stored in an encrypted format accessible to authorized and verified users. At least one characteristic of the specimen sample is determined based on the information. Tracking and status information, as well as notifications or reminders, regarding the specimen sample are provided in real-time or near real-time to the mobile device.

Also disclosed is selecting and populating into a spreadsheet formula a formulaic data field to be evaluated, starting from a position in the spreadsheet formula where the formulaic data field to be evaluated is to be populated, and responding to typed inputs and/or UI selection by displaying a list of selectable formulaic data fields with additional information that contains (non-data derived) human generated values. Upon selection among the fields, the method includes automatically populating into the starting position in the spreadsheet formula.

Abstract: A system or a method may be provided that may detect a movement or activity of a user via the user's mobile and/or wearable devices. The system may adjust the display interface based on the user's detected movement or activity. When a user is very active (biking or jogging), the user may have very limited amount of time or attention to interact with a display interface. The movement or activity of the user may be detected by a motion detection device installed on the mobile device or on the wearable device. When the user is active, the display interface may adjust to enlarge the information to make it easier for the user to view, read, or interact with. The system may also select and display important information, without other peripheral information (less important information) when the user is active.

A system provides a user with a selection of an amount of time to spend reading the document, or a list of questions from which the user may select which questions they would like answered by reading the document. The system highlights sections of the document according to the user selection. Implicit and explicit user data such as dwell times, user highlights, and user notes, are collected while displaying the document. A human-AI summary is generated based on the document and the user data.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for changing a screen in an electronic device that provides a plurality of windows are provided. The method includes providing, by an electronic device, a plurality of windows functionally connected to the electronic device, selecting at least one window displaying a first application among the plurality of windows, obtaining an input related to a second application being executed in the selected at least one window, and displaying the second application through the at least one window, based on the obtained input. The data sharing platform may perform, based on the rules, a data access certification process on the records stored by the database to generate a table of certification results. The data sharing platform may generate, based on the table of certification results, and without modifying the records stored by the database, a limited consumer view definition. In this new state, the application's UI display element (e.g., an icon or reduced size viewing window) may continue to be updated (e.g., in accordance with the lower render priority) but does not interfere with the system UI's responsiveness.

As another example, presenters and other audience members can draw on the selected display portion being shared, and the drawn graphics are synchronously displayed by the other interactive applications. Abstract: In a computing device, event notifications take the form of alerts that can be presented in different ways. The particular form of each event notification depends on the nature of the event, the user task being performed at the time the event occurs, the user's preferences, or any combination thereof. In one aspect, the present invention presents event notifications in the form of banner alerts. Obtrusiveness is minimized by presenting the notification at a location near the edge of the screen (such as a bottom edge), and slightly shrinking the active display area to make room for the event notification. In this manner, event notifications can be presented without obscuring any part of the active display area. In addition, the user can obtain more information about the event by activating the notification (for example by tapping on it). In another aspect, the present invention provides a summary of pending event notifications.
