Navigation Within Structure Patents (Class 715/854)
  • Patent number: 9141259
Abstract: A menu and application navigation system utilizing pressure includes a display device including a touch sensitive user interface, and a navigation engine coupled to the display device. The navigation engine is configured to generate a measurement of pressure applied by a user as a function of time at the touch sensitive user interface. The navigation engine is further configured to navigate through a three dimensional data set in response to the measurement of pressure. An increase in the pressure navigates in a first direction through the three dimensional data set, and a decrease in the pressure navigates in a second direction through the three dimensional data set.

Abstract: To inhibit cross-site forgery attacks, different types/classes of cookies are used. A first cookie and a second cookie are generated by a web server and provided to a client browser during a web session. The first cookie defines a first set of use conditions for when the first cookie is to be used within the web session. The second cookie defines a second set of use conditions for when the second cookie is to be used within the web session. The client browser determines which (if any) of the first cookie or second cookie to send to the web server based on the use conditions defined within each cookie and the operation(s) sought by the client browser. The web server may grant different or the same privileges to operation(s) being sought by the client browser depending on whether the first or second cookie is sent by the client browser.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display section, a display control section, a distance detection section, and a coordinate detection section. The display section has a display area in which a selection image is displayed. When the selection image is formed by a plurality of images hierarchically associated with one another, the display control section displays consecutively the images configuring the selection image in accordance with the hierarchical association. The distance detection section detects a spatial distance between a pointer and the display area. The coordinate detection section detects coordinates which correspond to a position of the pointer. The display control section displays, together with a specified image displayed at a position corresponding to the coordinates detected by the coordinate detection section, related images in an immediately lower level in the hierarchy associated with the specified image, when the spatial distance detected is shorter than a preset threshold distance.

Abstract: A computer system receives credit information relating to a consumer and a number of high scorers, and determines credit score factors associated with the consumer and the high scorers. The system may construct flippable score factor displays comprising consumer specific information specific to a credit category that may be reversed to display explanatory text regarding how that credit category affects their credit report. The score factor display may include a comparison between the consumer's scores and the high scorers' scores in a number of categories. Scores of high scorers may be periodically refreshed. Additionally, the group of high scorers may be limited according to a particular demographic, such as a geographic location, that may be selectable by a user.

  • Patent number: 8918717
Abstract: A system for providing collaborative tag sets to assist in the navigation and use of a folksonomy. The collaborative tag sets are social in nature. As more users group two tags together into tag sets, the disclosed system causes the association between those two tags to grow stronger, as exposed in the bookmark system user interface when alternative tags are suggested for browsing the bookmarks in a folksonomy. Tags that are grouped together by a user into a tag set have the strongest possible weight for that user, and accordingly the disclosed system automatically applies all tags in a set when that user is retrieving bookmarks if the user selects at least one of tags in the set. Tags not in the user's tag sets, but included in the public tag set(s) of another user(s) are displayed in the user interface as tag suggestions.

Abstract: Support of end-user to view and operate computing resources through logically organized and graphically represented multi-layered item list (“hierarchical list”) has been fully realized on native window based computer user work environment with modern operating system such as Windows Explore of Microsoft. The present invention has implemented such a hierarchical list to represent structured resources, such as for a central controlled distributed scalable virtual machine (CCDSVM), and to be displayable and operable via a browser on an end-user device for user to access and manage the actual structured resources. The implementation of the hierarchical list is accomplished by creating the hierarchical list in memory to mirror the actual structure resource, where the mirrored hierarchical list is sent to the end-user device, where the end-user device executes the browser to display the hierarchical list to allow the user to access the actual structured resources via the displayed hierarchical list.

Abstract: A system for traversing between nodes within a user interface receives a directional command from a user. The directional command is a command to move a focus away from a current node. The system also determines a next node to move the focus onto. The determining the next node is based on the relative positioning between the current node and the other nodes. The determining the next node is based on previous movements of the focus that were performed prior to moving the focus onto the current node. The system also performs movement of the focus from the current node onto the next node.
