Inserted Real-time Video In Operator Interface Patents (Class 715/972)
  • Patent number: 8966368
Abstract: The intelligent console method and apparatus of the present invention includes a powerful, intuitive, yet highly flexible means for accessing a multi-media system having multiple multi-media data types. The present intelligent console provides an interactive display of linked multi-media events based on a user's personal taste. The intelligent console includes a graph/data display that can provide several graphical representations of the events that satisfy user queries. The user can access an event simply by selecting the time of interest on the timeline of the graph/data display. Because the system links together all of the multi-media data types associated with a selected event, the intelligent console synchronizes and displays the multiple media data when a user selects the event. Complex queries can be made using the present intelligent console. The user is alerted to the events satisfying the complex queries and if the user chooses, the corresponding and associated multi-media data is displayed.

  • Patent number: 8803888
Abstract: A system and method for sharing information between users based on recognition of the users and their associated processing devices in a scene. Interactions can be physical, verbal or a combination of physical and verbal gestures. Movements of the user and other users are tracked and interactions detected between them. User processing devices are connected by detecting users within view of a capture device, the capture device detecting motion tracking data for the user, such as a skeletal model. Information sharing may be controlled by the processing devices directly, by an intermediary server, or by a combination of the processing device and an intermediary server.

  • Patent number: 8749557
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed that relate to interacting with a user interface via feedback provided by an avatar. One embodiment provides a method comprising receiving depth data, locating a person in the depth data, and mapping a physical space in front of the person to a screen space of a display device. The method further comprises forming an image of an avatar representing the person, outputting to a display an image of a user interface comprising an interactive user interface control, and outputting to the display device the image of the avatar such that the avatar faces the user interface control. The method further comprises detecting a motion of the person via the depth data, forming an animated representation of the avatar interacting with the user interface control based upon the motion of the person, and outputting the animated representation of the avatar interacting with the control.

Abstract: Systems and Methods of presenting video on a display are disclosed. A video clip is displayed on a video display area. The video clip is one of a plurality of video clips in a video playlist. A playlist pane can be displayed and includes video thumbnails displayed in an order that is representative of an order of playing the video clips in the video playlist. Furthermore, one or more selectable video thumbnails can also be displayed. A drag and drop input is received from a user in order to place on the playlist pane a selected video thumbnail from the one or more selectable video thumbnails. The video content corresponding to the selected video thumbnail is added in real-time to the video playlist while simultaneously continuing to play the video clip on the video display area.
