In a motive gear, a cam groove and a cam member for controlling ON and OFF of chucking operation are provided. In a device body, there are provided a rack for taking in and out and a guide groove. There are provided a central gear driven by motor and an idler gear meshed with the central gear. According to a rotation direction of the motor, the idler gear is selectively meshed with the motive gear or the rack.

Abstract: An optical pick-up feeding device (100) includes a bracket (1) defining an opening (10), a carrier (41) supporting an optical pick-up (3), a stepping motor (42) having a worm screw (420) for driving the carrier, a pair of guide rails (43) for guiding the carrier, and a connecting body (44) for transmitting driving force from the worm screw to the carrier. A slot (446) and a beam (447) are defined at a front end of the connecting body. A protrusion (445) extends horizontally outwardly from a middle of the beam. The protrusion can elastically bend into the slot when a force is applied on the protrusion. When the protrusion collides with an inside wall of the bracket at the opening, the protrusion presses the beam to bend into the slot, thereby translating the force of the collision into elastic deformation force of the beam. This reduces vibration of the optical pick-up.

Abstract: To make the shape of parts simple, the transmission changeover well timed and reliable, and the size reduce, a transmission changeover mechanism in a disc apparatus includes a rotary control piece which is spring-biased to rotate in one direction, and has a transmission switching gear wheel fixed thereto. A retainer post stands on the chassis prevents rotation of the rotary control piece. A catch pin stands the rotary control piece. A cam rib is formed on lower surface of the traverse rack in confronting relation with the rotary control plate which is so configured as to make the rotary control piece release from the retainer post, and at the same time make the catch pin follow the rib contour, thereby allowing the transmission switching gear wheel to couple or decouple from the tray feeding gear wheel.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a disk drive with ejecting function. The disk drive has a tray that is selectively received in a housing. The tray has a track with a first end and a second end. A chassis is located inside the housing, and a cam rack is slidably disposed on the chassis. A first shaft and a second shaft are disposed on the chassis, and the first shaft engages with the track. A curved bar is slidably disposed on the chassis and touches against the second shaft. When the curved bar is actuated in a direction parallel to the moving direction of the tray, the curved bar pushes the second shaft to move in a direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the tray. Afterwards, the first shaft moves from the first end to the second end, and the tray is ejected.
