  • Patent number: 10388318
Abstract: A disc drive has an opening portion for inserting a disc. The disc drive includes a driving unit, a moving member, a traverse, a disc positioning structure and a restoring structure. When the disc is intended to be clamped on the traverse, the driving unit drives the moving member to move the traverse to a disc holding position to clamp the disc; and the moving member moves the disc positioning structure to a disc release position so that the disc positioning structure does not contact the disc. When the disc is intended to be released from the traverse, the driving unit drives the moving member to move the traverse to a disc unloading position to unload the disc; and the restoring structure moves the disc positioning structure to a disc loading position to support the disc.

Abstract: An optical disk device has a casing, an insertion slot and a loading mechanism for loading a disk. A shutter is shiftable transversely to an elongate slot shape of the insertion slot, closes the insertion slot partially when in a closed position, and opens the insertion slot when in an open position. A coupling hole is disposed at an end of the shutter with respect to the elongate slot shape. A shift lever moves the coupling hole in a first direction along the elongate slot shape upon shifting of the loading mechanism for loading, and moves the coupling hole in a second direction upon shifting of the loading mechanism for unloading. A cam mechanism shifts the shutter to the closed position when the coupling hole is moved in the first direction, and shifts the shutter to the open position when the coupling hole is moved in the second direction.

Abstract: A disk transport apparatus is disclosed which can transport a disk appropriately. First and second arms are mounted for pivotal motion in first and second directions in which they are spaced from each other around second ends thereof to transport the disk. A link pivots the first or second arm in response to pivotal motion of the second or first arm. The first arm and the link have teeth and meshing portions which mesh with each other. The first arm has a blocking portion which blocks, when the second arm is pivoted in the second direction with the disk contacting only with the second arm, meshing engagement between the meshing portions to block pivotal motion of the arms in the first and second directions.

Abstract: A disc loading and ejecting structure for a slot-in optical disc drive aims to drive a compact disc into and out of the slot-in optical disc drive to solve the problems of conventional techniques that they are bulky and occupy too much space. The structure includes a driving portion and a guiding portion that are located at two opposite sides of the slot-in optical disc drive. The driving portion includes a roller with the rotation axis parallel with a positioning surface of the compact disc. A first end edge of the compact disc is abutted on the guiding portion and a second end edge is leaned on the roller. The roller can rotate and move reciprocally in parallel with the direction of the rotation axis to drive the compact disc into and out of the slot-in optical disc drive.
