Abstract: A front panel driving apparatus for a car audio system comprises a main chassis, a slider base fitted inside the main chassis, and a slider. A plurality of roller structures are provided for promoting a more stable motion of the slider. The roller structures are formed between the slider base and the slider. A front panel is opened or closed by translating vertically when the slider moves back and forth. A lower end portion of the front panel is hinged upon a front end portion the slider. Projections that are protruded from both upper ends of the front panel are mounted inside generally vertical tracks of a front frame that is attached to a front of the main chassis.

Abstract: A recording medium reproducing apparatus includes a mechanical deck, a lid body, a first moving member, a second moving member, and a synchronization member. The mechanical deck has one end turnably supported by a chassis and the other end having a recording medium insertion port. The lid body is movable between a lid close position and a lid open position. The first moving member turns the mechanical deck between a reproducing position and an ejection position. The second moving member moves the lid body from the lid close position to the lid open position. The synchronization member controls the first and second moving members in synchronization with each other such that the lid body is moved inside the housing by the second moving member and the mechanical deck is turned to the ejection position by the first moving member to allow the recording medium insertion port to be directed outwardly.

Abstract: A player apparatus for compact discs and similar signal carriers provided with a disc storage unit. The storage unit having the disc holder for holding discs arranged as an integral part of player apparatus. Storage unit arranged to store discs in a manner which allow placing stored discs parallel to the disc which is positioned into drive for playback/recording, therefore the allowing storing additional discs without significant increasing of external dimensions of the player apparatus.
