  • Patent number: 11949967
Abstract: In an approach for enhancing an experience of a user listening to and/or watching an audio-visual content by modifying future audio and/or video frames of the audio-visual content, a processor captures a set of sensor data from an IoT device worn by the first user. A processor analyzes the set of sensor data to generate one or more connotations by converting the emotion using an emotional vector analytics technique and a supervised machine learning technique. A processor scores the one or more connotations on a basis of similarity between the emotion exhibited by the first user and an emotion expected to be provoked by a second user. A processor determines whether a score of the one or more connotations exceeds a pre-configured threshold level. Responsive to determining the score does not exceed the pre-configured threshold level, a processor generates a suggestion for the producer of the audio-visual content.

  • Patent number: 11928828
Abstract: Disclosed is a computer-implemented method of determining a spatial relationship between planning image data and current surface data which leads to improved surface registration accuracy by considering the elasticity and deformability of the tissue. The knowledge about the tissue can be estimated based on type of tissue and atlas information. For the process of generating surface registration points on specific anatomical regions, e.g. the face or forehead, are acquired with a classical navigated pointer or laser pointer. It is also possible to acquire points with surface scanners. Confidence values defining a probability for certain parts of the surface registration points being deformed in comparison to a planning image are read from atlas data and used to compensate for the deformation in the registration between the surface registration points and the planning image in order to render the registration valid.

  • Patent number: 11395020
Abstract: A system and method for providing bitrate control for delivering media content to a plurality of virtual display (VD) screens presented in a virtual reality (VR) environment effectuated by a VR device of a subscriber based on detecting a movement in a point of view with respect the VD screens' placement within the VR environment, wherein each VD screen is configured to receive a media content channel. Responsive to detecting the movement, angular distance of each of the VD screens relative to a reference axis is computed. Weights to each of the media content channels may be assigned or updated based on the angular distance of the corresponding VD screens relative to the reference axis. Bandwidth of a managed bandwidth pipe may be (re)allocated based on the relative weights of the media content channels for delivering the media content channels to the subscriber's VR environment responsive to selecting single bitrates for the media channels according to a channel bandwidth annealing mechanism.
