Abstract: Method and server for managing placement of a digital signage content based on metric thresholds. The server stores parameters associated to a plurality of locations. The parameters for each location comprise at least one metric and a corresponding threshold for each metric. The server determines a plurality of candidate locations among the plurality of locations for displaying the content. For each candidate location, the server processes the at least one metric and corresponding threshold of the candidate location to determine if each metric among the at least one metric is within the corresponding threshold. The server identifies one or more target location among the plurality of candidate locations for displaying the content. Each metric among the at least one metric of the one or more target location is within the corresponding threshold. The locations may include digital signage players, geographical areas, displays controlled by a player.

Abstract: Some aspects may include determining whether to allow a skip over a portion of required content based on the amount of time elapsed since a portion of required content was played. The amount of time elapsed since a portion of required content was played may be measured based on the sum time of content played, or may be based on the amount of wall time elapsed. The determination of whether to allow a skip over a portion of required content may be made based on comparing the amount of time elapsed since a portion of required content was played to a threshold amount of time. Some aspects may allow free navigation within content if the amount of time elapsed is less than the threshold, and may restrict navigation or require playback of required content if the amount of time elapsed is greater than the threshold.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for controlling access to multimedia content. In an access control system, each device operates as a gateway or node in the access control network and is linked to the other devices in the access control network. Each device in the network has a hash value that identifies the device and the type of media content or content providers the device can access. When a device requests to access media content, nodes in the access control system can compare the hash value of the user device to hash values in an allocation table to determine whether the user is authorized access the media content. In some implementations, a device connected to the access control network can verify or validate the hash value of the requesting device by comparing the hash value to hash values in an allocation table stored on a blockchain.

Abstract: In various implementations, a signage manager may manage digital sign content. The signage manager may transmit playlists and/or media to signage devices to be presented on a display and/or on a set of displays. The signage manger may allow independent customization of playlists. The media items associated with the playlists and presented on display(s) may be stored on a memory of the signal device and/or streamed media from another source.

Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a rewarded viewing video distribution system configured to reward a user for viewed video content based on presenting video content to a user, assigning the user rewards generated based on the value of the video portion viewed, and automatically presenting the user with marketplace credit to spend the rewards. In some embodiments, the viewed video portion value may be determined as a function of a predetermined reward threshold. In an illustrative example, the predetermined reward threshold may be the video percentage viewed. Various implementations may employ a reward threshold based on advertisements viewed, permitting advertisement spending adapted as a function of verified advertisement views. Some examples may reward views using a video player plug-in. Some embodiments may permit a user to spend viewing rewards on affiliated partner services or products.

Abstract: A tracking system determines a location of a tracking device associated with a user using one or more access points at the location. Each access point at the location is configured to detect and couple with the tracking device when the tracking device is within a communicative range of the access point. An access point provides updates on the tracking device's presence, as well as the tracking device's arrival to and departure from the communicative range of the access point, to a tracking server. The tracking server determines, from these updates, whether the tracking device is at the location. The user may be notified, via a mobile device, of the tracking device's location.

Abstract: A Sender Controlled Media (SCM) platform user is presented incentives for performing rewardable platform activities that result in accruing points in a user-specific account from which points can be redeemed by transfer or cryptocurrency conversion to an external user-designated wallet. A reward received for each instance of a rewardable platform activity is determined based on a range of platform context including a target average points payout, an aggregated total points payout over a distribution period, and a type of rewardable platform activity.

Abstract: A computing system detects that a media presentation device such as a television is in a content-selection mode in which a user is likely to select video content to be presented by the media presentation device, at a time when the media presentation device is not using a video-on-demand service. In response, the computing system causes the media presentation device to present a prompt for user approval to have the media presentation device present video content of the video-on-demand service. By presenting this prompt at a time when the media presentation device is in a content-selection mode and is not using the video-on-demand service, the disclosed mechanism can thereby help foster use of the video-on-demand service.

The digital video may be altered in a variety of ways so that the video itself contains an integrated token that can represent various quantities. Audiovisual data can be altered to contain both a token and a perceptible user auditory or visual cue as to the presence of the encrypted digital token. A video with an embedded digital token may be sent to users on the Internet. A video recipient may be able to view the video and also take additional action or gain additional functionality from the digital token embedded in the video. Tokens can be embedded by altering video metadata so that the perceptible video content itself is not changed in some embodiments.

There is provided a system comprising a client device with a display device and an input device and running a synchronization application. The client device receives digital data transmitted from a server, and transmits user feedback information generated from user interactions with the digital data back to the server. The digital data are interactive advertisements, such as online social games, that increase users' awareness of the advertised products or messages. The digital data are delivered to the user's client device in synchronization with the broadcasting of on-air television commercials.

Abstract: An observation platform for coordinators, marketers, advertisers, merchants, retailers, and users to establish, utilize and fulfill an observation campaign suited to verify digital-world implementations surrounding observable, standards, objectives, conditions, rules, guidelines, and/or restrictions for media presentations. The observable data points may be part of an overall strategy in a digital observation campaign established by an observation campaign coordinator. Content may be initially recorded to an active storage device, with individual duplicate copies recorded for each requesting user, and subsequently archived to an archive storage device. For playback, the content can be reconstituted into the active storage device prior to delivery to the requesting user. Content can be predictively reconstituted in anticipation of user needs, and the reconstitution capacity of the system can be dynamically reallocated for load balancing.

Abstract: A video segmenting system identifies a product for sale in a video and determines one or more attributes of audio and video content within the video. The video segmenting system determines a video segment within the video that is associated with the product for sale, based on the attributes. The video segmenting system generates a tag that associates the product for sale with the video segment and sends an indication of the tag to a user device. Once the video is played on a user device, the user device detects a search query about the product for sale. Using the tag, the user device can display a marker on the user device corresponding to the location of the video segment within the video.

The timeslot information and cost information are published, and the OTT multicast service provisions the delivery of programs using timeslots secured by the subscribers.

Abstract: Systems and methods for pairing a personal electronic device of a passenger with a passenger seat in a vehicle using a PWM light identification, and for allowing the personal electronic device to control passenger in-seat functions and features. The system comprises an on-board video system having an in-seat display system for installation in a vehicle. The on-board video system is configured to communication a PWM light identification from a monitor of the in-seat display system which is captured by an imaging device of the personal electronic device. The on-board video system receives pairing information from the personal electronic device corresponding to the captured light identification via a wireless communication link. The on-board video system then validates the pairing information and pairs the personal electronic device to the passenger seat and authorizes the personal electronic device to control passenger seat functions associated with the passenger seat.

The system further includes a plurality of active agents. Each active agent receives a list of OTT service platforms supported by a corresponding wireless network operator. Abstract: An illustrative method for generating earned media includes collecting publisher descriptor data from a plurality of publishers, storing the descriptor data in a computer-readable memory, gathering at least one marketing parameter from a marketer and storing the at least one marketing parameter on the computer-readable memory. The method further includes retrieving, with a computing device, the descriptor data and the at least one marketing parameter from the computer-readable memory and filtering the plurality of publishers by applying the at least one marketing parameter to the descriptor data to produce qualified publishers. The qualified publishers are then presented with content from the marketer for dissemination to an audience of the qualified publishers. A system for generating earned media is also presented.
