Using Or Containing Liquid Patents (Class 73/1.67)
  • Patent number: 10775257
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and to a method for dynamically calibrating pressure sensors. Pressure acting upon the pressure sensor is compared to a corresponding desired parameter by means of a device according to the pistonphone principle, from which a calibration value c is determined. The aim of the invention is to provide a method and solution which enables a primary calibration of the dynamic ratio of a pressure sensor to be carried out. This is achieved by the fact that the device is only statically determined by respectively a housing to actuator connection and actuator to piston connection, and the piston is sealed in the cylinder with respect to the ambient atmosphere by a seal and is moveably arranged in the seal, and the change in pressure corresponding to the actual valve is calculated.

  • Patent number: 9448564
Abstract: A wave generation component during an off cycle when the on-off valve is closed to build pressure from the process gas in an accumulation volume. During an on cycle when the on-off valve is open the wave generation component releases the process gas according to a time constant. A flow restrictor installed downstream in a throat of the on-off valve, outputs the rapid square waves to the conduit at a predefined magnitude. The flow restrictor is selected to have an impedance that is high enough to significantly raise the time constant during the on cycle such that pressure decay in each square wave pulse over the on cycle decreases to within a tolerance, wherein the time constant is at least in part a function of the flow restrictor impedance.

  • Publication number: 20130047696
Abstract: A method for estimating equivalent top of fluid level or a theoretical surface annular back pressure in a subterranean wellbore includes acquiring first and second axially spaced pressure measurements in the wellbore. The pressure measurements may then be processed to compute the equivalent top of fluid level and/or theoretical surface annular back pressure of drilling fluid between the measurement locations. A tool string including a large number of axially spaced pressure sensors (e.g., four or more or even six or more) electronically coupled with a surface processor via wired drill pipe may be used to obtain a plurality of values corresponding to various wellbore intervals. The equivalent top of fluid level and/or theoretical surface annular back pressures may be used in automated managed pressure drilling operations.

  • Patent number: 7482498
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a process for nucleophilic fluorination of a substance, especially for synthesis of an 18F-labeled substance for examination using a positron emission tomograph. The device comprises an anion exchange device (102) for extraction of [18F]fluoride ions by means of adsorption from a target fluid, whereby the anion exchange device (102) can be charged via a supply device (101) with the target fluid; and a measurement device (104) with a measurement chamber (103) for measuring initial radioactivity of the [18F]fluoride ions, the anion exchange device (102) being arranged at least partially in the measurement chamber (103) of the measurement device (104).

  • Patent number: 6484383
Abstract: A method for airtight joining of two membranes. An airtight and complete bonding of the two membranes is achieved by first producing a curvature in one of the membranes, then placing the convexly curved side of a membrane onto the membrane to be joined to it in an airtight manner, next joining the two membranes until the edge areas of the membranes are in contact, and finally applying a pressing force that seals the edge areas of the membranes in an airtight manner.
