Washer Type Patents (Class 73/114.21)
  • Patent number: 10012558
Abstract: In a combustion pressure sensor, a sensor holder is installed in a housing. The sensor holder has an end contact surface. A load transfer member is installed in the housing. The load transfer member has a contact surface facing the end contact surface of the sensor holder. The contact surface of the load transfer member is in contact with the end contact surface of the sensor holder. One of the contact surface of the load transfer member and the end contact surface of the sensor holder has a concavely curved shape, and the other thereof has a convexly curved shape.

  • Patent number: 9874195
Abstract: A pressure-measuring glow plug device includes a module housing, a glow plug configured to ignite a combustion mixture in a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, and a pressure-measuring device. The pressure-measuring device has a pressure sensor configured to detect the pressure in the combustion chamber. The glow plug is connected to the module housing by a flexurally elastic membrane. The force acting on the glow plug in the combustion chamber is transferred to the pressure sensor, which is supported on a supporting element by a preloading force. The supporting element is fastened rigidly to the module housing by a sensor housing. The glow plug device further includes a separate loading sleeve that is connected at one end to the pressure-transferring piece and at the other end to the supporting element. The loading sleeve is configured to apply the preloading force for the pressure sensor.

  • Patent number: 9857343
Abstract: A gas sensor includes a protective cover having a resin cylindrical cover portion at a rear end thereof, that can be airtightly attached to an attachment hole, and that can prevent a decrease in quality and a molding defect. A plurality of vertical ribs, which extend substantially parallel to an axis of a cylindrical cover portion, are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical cover portion so that protrusions and recesses are provided in a circumferential direction. Due to the presence of the vertical ribs, as compared with an existing cylindrical cover portion that has a smooth outer peripheral surface without the vertical ribs, defects of the outer peripheral surface are not likely to occur in a molding process. Moreover, because slipping is not likely to occur when an operator holds and twists the cylindrical cover portion with his/her fingers, an attachment operation can be smoothly performed.

  • Patent number: 9593661
Abstract: A preheater assembly of a glowplug and a hollow sheath extending longitudinally from a bottom external zone to a top external zone, the sheath extending radially from an inside surface defining a cavity towards an outside surface, the glowplug being inserted in the cavity, the tip projecting from the sheath through the bottom external zone, the inside surface of the sheath presenting a second thread meshing with a first thread of the glowplug, the inside surface of the sheath presenting a first conical seat bearing against the first conical bearing surface of the glowplug, the outside surface of the bottom external zone having a third thread screwed into a cylinder head and a second bearing surface that bears against the second seat of a cylinder head.

  • Patent number: 9500365
Abstract: A pressure-measuring device for recording a pressure in a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, having a force transmission body, situated in a housing, which is exposed to the combustion chamber and which transmits the combustion chamber pressure to a pressure-measuring unit at least indirectly by an axial motion, and having a flexible diaphragm, which is situated between the force transmission body and the housing. The flexible diaphragm is configured to be resilient to implement the axial motion of the force transmission body within the housing. A flexible additional diaphragm is connected ahead of the flexible diaphragm on the combustion chamber side, which seals the flexible diaphragm from the combustion chamber.

  • Publication number: 20140130586
Abstract: Disclosed is a pressure-measuring plug for a combustion engine. The pressure-measuring plug comprises a plug body and a ring-shaped sensing structure. The plug body comprises an external thread for mounting the plug body into a cylinder head of the combustion engine. The ring-shaped sensing structure comprises an outer section and an inner core. A proximal end of the plug body is attached to the outer section. The inner core comprises a through hole for receiving a rod-shaped element. The ring-shaped sensing structure allows the inner core to move relatively to the outer section along a cylinder axis of the ring-shaped sensing structure. The inner core further comprises an internal thread for mounting in the through hole a rod-shaped element with an external thread.
