  • Patent number: 8871034
Abstract: A master verification assembly includes a plurality of plunger devices. Each of the plunger devices includes a piston that is axially moveable between a raised position and a depressed position. When placed in a washing assembly, each of the plunger devices is aligned with a nozzle. The nozzles dispense a cleaning fluid under pressure. An axial force applied by the dispensed cleaning fluid depresses the pistons into the depressed position, whereupon the pistons disposed in the depressed position are axially secured in an indicator position. Upon removal of the master verification assembly from the washing assembly, depressed pistons in the indicator position indicate proper function of the nozzles, whereas pistons disposed in the raised position indicate improperly functioning nozzles.

  • Publication number: 20130233536
Abstract: A testing system and method for evaluating the time required for shutting in a well after packing fractures in the well with a proppant having curable resin. At the well site, a sample of the proppant is compressed and heated in a portable unit. While the sample is being heated and compressed, its properties are being monitored to determine if the resin in the proppant has cured. Recording the time required for the proppant to cure provides an indication of how long to shut in the well after packing the fractures with the proppant. The portable unit includes a gas to fluid intensifier for compressively stressing the sample and a heat source for heating the sample. Sensors adjacent the proppant sample monitor the properties.

  • Patent number: 8436738
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining whether an appliance is leaking gas is provided. Pressure measurements are taken after closing off the flow of gas to the appliance and within the appliance so as to isolate the gas within the distribution system of the appliance. If unacceptable changes in the pressure of the gas are detected, a warning signal can be provided and the flow of gas into the appliance can be maintained in an off state until further corrective steps are undertaken. Corrections for temperatures changes between pressure measurements can also be provided.

  • Patent number: 7882728
Abstract: There is provided an anomaly judgment device that is capable of detecting an abnormal state of a system highly accurately and obtaining an accurate result. The anomaly judgment device may include a plurality of anomaly judgment devices for judging an anomaly of the system and, in cases where it is judged by the plurality of anomaly judgment devices that there is an anomaly, a judgment device judges that a system anomaly exists. Hence, even in the event of a localized abnormal state judgment by one anomaly judgment device or failure, a final judgment is not made based on that anomaly alone, and at least one other anomaly judgment is made, whereby erroneous judgments can be eliminated and a highly accurate anomaly judgment is possible.

  • Patent number: 7581426
Abstract: An adapter to test the static vent of aircraft instrumentation is provided. The test adapter comprises an adapter assembly and a seal holder. The adapter assembly comprises a plurality of prongs adapted to be inserted in the vent's holes. The assembly further comprises a locking mechanism cooperating with the prongs to secure the adapter assembly in place. A seal holder, adapted to be mounted on and over the adapter assembly comprises a seal and a hose connector to connect the adapter to the gas or pressure source. The adapter can also be provided with a blanking port which acts as a pre-test device and also as a storage unit for protecting the adapter assembly when not in use.

  • Patent number: 7231812
Abstract: A conduit breach location detector for detecting leaks in a conduit is disclosed. The conduit breach location detector includes a shuttle cage for connection to the conduit. A sounding shuttle is provided in the shuttle cage. A sounding cable may be connected to the sounding shuttle. A pressurization system is connected to the shuttle cage for pressurizing the shuttle cage and pushing the sounding shuttle through the conduit.

  • Patent number: 6957567
Abstract: A method and system for the controlled application of fluid pressure of a load, such as a large pipe to be pressure tested utilized small pressure converters which are operated by a common controller at the hydraulic side to fill and pressurize the pipe. One pressure converter is decelerated as it approaches the end of its working stroke while the other pressure converter is accelerated so that the total displacement of the pressurizing fluid remains substantially constant over time.
