Abstract: A high-speed rheometer includes a base, a driving device disposed on the base, a lower sample assembly connected with the driving device, an upper sample assembly disposed above the lower sample assembly, a torsion bar disposed on the upper sample assembly and being torsional upon the rotation of the upper sample assembly, and an optical torque measuring assembly. The lower sample assembly is rotatable under the driving of the driving device, and the upper sample assembly is rotatable under the driving of the fluid. The optical torque measuring assembly is used to measure a torsion angle of the torsion bar so as to obtain a torque generated during shearing the fluid to be tested.

Abstract: A rheometer or viscometer has a first measuring part and a second measuring part, between which a sample space for receiving a material sample is formed. By means of a drive device, at least the second measuring part can be rotated and/or can be oscillated, it being possible for the drive movement of the drive device to be transferred to the second measuring device via a transmission element. The drive device is arranged on the side of the first measuring part that is facing away from the second measuring part and the transmission element penetrates through the first measuring part, particularly at a through-bore.
Abstract: A mixing system comprising a bowl, mixing element and motor. A mixing element is located within the bowl and is driven by a motor to impart mechanical energy to the foodstuff being mixed upon contact. A method for predicting instantaneous loading on the mixing system motor. A method for increasing the power to the motor comprises introducing additional current in advance of instantaneous loading. A method for identifying the foodstuff being mixed to control operation of the mixer either by allowing user interaction or increasing the current to the motor in advance of instantaneous loading and demands on the motor.

Abstract: A curing characteristics measuring apparatus in which a sample chamber having a fixed surface and a rotation-vibrating drive surface is charged with a sample having a viscoelasticity, a torsional vibration is applied to the sample through the drive surface, a shearing stress generated in the sample is observed as a torque through the fixed surface or the drive surface, wherein mechanism is provided for reducing volume of the sample chamber following volume contraction generated in curing process of the sample.
