    Abstract: An electromotive unit includes a linear motor, a motor case containing the linear motor, a movable element connected with the linear motor and reciprocatingly driven with respect to the motor case, and a sealing material sealing the gap between the movable element and the opening of the motor case. The sealing material includes a contact portion contacting the movable element; and a recessed portion formed around contact portion, having a ring-shaped groove facing the outside of the motor case, and elastically deformable according to reciprocating movement of the movable element. This aspect provides an electromotive unit that hardly generates noise while the movable element is being reciprocatingly driven; and a small-size electrical appliance including the electromotive unit.

    Abstract: An apparatus for shaping plastics material pre-forms into containers includes a blow molding station on a movable conveying device. The station has a blow mold forming a cavity in which the pre-forms are expandable by a gaseous medium. A stressing device acts upon the pre-forms with the gaseous medium to expand them. A clean room surrounds the blow molding station at least in part. A stretching unit stretches the pre-forms along their longitudinal direction and includes a stretch bar movable with respect to the plastics material pre-forms. The stretch bar is insertable into the pre-forms. The station has a receiving space with a wall for receiving the stretch bar, which is movable relative to the receiving space and which surrounds the stretch bar at least in part. A flexible sealing device, which separates a sterile room area from a non-sterile room area, is arranged inside the receiving space.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a sealing device 20 for a control rod 17, passing through an aperture 15c in a wall 15, wherein the control rod 17 is connected between an actuator 13, placed on one side of the wall, and a controlled entity 9a, placed on the other side of the wall, such that the actuator can control the controlled entity with motion of the control rod. The sealing device 20 includes a packing box 37 through which the control rod 17 passes and a seal 41 which provides a sealing function between the control rod 17 and the packing box 37. The packing box 37 is moveable with the control rod 17 in relation to the wall 15. Wall aperture 15c is sized to allow movement of the control rod 17 within aperture 15c. A flexible member 39 surrounds a portion of control rod 17 and extends between the packing box 37 and the wall 15, in a gastight communication with each. As such, the subject sealing device allows movement of the control rod without compromising the sealing function efficiency thereof.

    Abstract: Hydraulic cylinder rods on machines can be protected by applying a thin coating of protectant to the surface of the rod. The present invention provides a flexible, impervious sleeve having first and second ends and first and second edges connecting the ends. One end of the sleeve has a wiper portion which is secured around the cylinder rod while the other end of the sleeve is secured relative to the hydraulic cylinder. The edges of the sleeve wrap around the rod and a reserve of protectant and, when fastened together, form a closed member. Upon extension of the rod, the protectant is forced into the wiper portion and spread onto the rod.
