  • Patent number: 11951988
Abstract: When a vehicle control interface receives information indicating “Forward” from a VP, the vehicle control interface sets a value 0 in a signal indicating a rotation direction of a wheel. When the vehicle control interface receives information indicating “Reverse” from the VP, the vehicle control interface sets a value 1 in the signal indicating the rotation direction of the wheel. When the vehicle control interface receives information indicating “Invalid value” from the VP, the vehicle control interface sets a value 3 in the signal indicating the rotation direction of the wheel. The vehicle control interface provides the signal indicating the rotation direction of the wheel to an ADK.

  • Publication number: 20080196521
Abstract: A linear feedback device for an actuator comprises: a coiling belt, a return gear wheel, a driven member, and a sensing feedback device. The sensing linear feedback device serves to feedback the displacement data of the driven member that is moveable along a predetermined rail after engaging with the return gear wheel. The return gear wheel is coaxial with the coiling belt, and the coiling belt unwinds or retracts along with the actuator and drives the return gear wheel to rotate. The gear ratio between the return gear wheel and the driven teeth is used to adjust the back and forth moving distance of the probe. The linear feedback device can be installed in a small external hanging type body and offer an absolute position sensing function while preventing the error accumulation.

  • Patent number: 6594619
Abstract: An apparatus is described for detecting the early signs of cycle-induced fatigue and thereby predicting failure of the rotating disk in turbo-machinery. It identifies asymmetrical growth of hub-blade diameter as a predictor of incipient crack growth. Tip measurements are processed through specialized algorithms to detect such asymmetry during operation, providing a real-time, non-destructive method of prediction. The sensors can be housed within the machinery case, and are capable of operating in harsh environments while maintaining adequate stand-off distance, making the entire apparatus robust enough for conditions in high-speed turbo-machinery.

  • Publication number: 20020096003
Abstract: An executed time of a backward slipping moderation control is counted by a timer, and after a predetermined period of time is elapsed, the control is terminated. Upon the termination of the control, a control of operation of a brake actuator is executed so that a wheel cylinder pressure is decreased with a gentle slope in comparison with a normal operation of the brake actuator for terminating the control. Where the backward slipping moderation control is executed by controlling a brake fluid pressure of the brake actuator, an acceleration &agr; of a vehicle is estimated. If the acceleration is larger than a predetermined value, a target pressure P is increased, thus generating a relatively large braking force.

  • Patent number: 5402997
Abstract: The device comprises a support element (6) arranged in parallel with the free end of a cassette lid (1b) which is to be opened. The support element is driven by a lever gear (7, 8, 9, 33, 34, 35) and, guided on arms (2, 3), can be lifted and lowered. A mounting plate (23) on which an unlocking member (25, 36) and its driving rotary magnet (26) are arranged is spring-biased into contact with the pressure bolts (19, 20). Moreover, an opening element (15) with check arms (15a, 15b) associated with the cassette lid (1b) is also pivotably mounted on the support element (6) and can be brought into an operative position in response to the position of the unlocking member (25, 36) and the position of the support element (6) respectively.

  • Patent number: 5016335
Abstract: A tapping attachment for threading a relatively large number of holes through a sheet metal part at a relatively low cost per hole. The tapping attachment includes a thrust bearing assembly which is aligned with a turret-type punch press or the like and movable in response to an axially directed force generated by the punch press. The axially directed force applied from the press to the thrust bearing assembly is transferred to a spline shaft. The spline shaft is rotated wihin and moved linearly relative to a screw threaded roller nut, whereby the axially directed force is converted into a rotating force for advancing and turning a tap at high speeds of rotation. A nitrogen reservoir is provided so that a supply of gas is available for returning the thrust bearing assembly and the spline shaft to their initial positions in order that a new hole can be tapped in response to another axially directed force.

  • Patent number: 4718258
Abstract: A reversing drive for a triple action agitator is provided in which the agitator has an upper portion with helical grooves formed therein and a thruster barrel is received over the agitator upper portion. The thruster barrel has inwardly directed pegs which cammingly ride in the grooves to provide vertical movement to the thruster relative to the agitator. A two position clutch has an alternating rachet-type engagement between the agitator and the thruster to prevent rotary motion between the thruster and agitator when the agitator is rotating in a first direction, but to permit rotary motion between the thruster and agitator when the agitator is rotating in a second direction when the clutch is in a first position. When the clutch is in the second position, relative rotary motion is permitted when the agitator is rotating in the first direction and is prevented when the agitator is rotating in the second direction.
