  • Patent number: 11239774
Abstract: Various embodiments of a power wand are provided. The power wand may be utilized with an awning assembly including a motor to power and direct rotation of the motor. Therefore, the power wand will electrically drive and direct extension and retraction of the awning assembly. The power wand may be a portable hand-held device which provides battery powered operation of the awning motor. The use of the wand therefore eliminates the connection of awning wiring to the electrical system of the recreational vehicle (RV) or other mobile or fixed structure to which the awning may be mounted.

  • Patent number: 11053999
Abstract: A gear includes a circular base having a front surface that includes an inner region and an outer region that surrounds the inner region. The circular base is rotatable about a central axis. Plural gear teeth are arranged in a same row and extend outward from the outer region of the front surface and are evenly spaced from each other along plural locations on the outer region. Each gear tooth has a cross-sectional width that decreases with decreasing distance from the central axis, and has an outer shape configured to permit any one of the gear teeth in the row to contact and directly mesh with any gear tooth in a corresponding row of gear teeth of a substantially identical gear for any gear angle within a predefined range of gear angles between the central axis of the gear and the central axis of the substantially identical gear.

  • Patent number: 10513885
Abstract: An involute gear is disclosed. A circular base has a surface that includes an inner region and an outer region. A gear tooth extends outward from the outer region of the surface. A shape of the gear tooth is defined by a varying cross-sectional involute profile. Starting from a first involute profile that is in a plane parallel to the surface of the circular base and extending outward from a center of the circular base, each location on the first involute profile is rotated about a corresponding axis while traversing a path defined by a corresponding imaginary ray extending from the center of the circular base to that location in the first involute profile. The corresponding axis is tangential to an imaginary circle that encompasses the inner region of the surface and is perpendicular to the corresponding imaginary ray.

  • Patent number: 5582065
Abstract: A drive assembly has two bevel gear angle drives (9, 10) for driving an agricultural implement (2) via a tractor power take-off shaft. The assembly has a pivot bearing (11) which effects a pivotable connection between the two bevel gear angle drives (9, 10). To improve the bearing conditions between the two bevel gear angle drives (9, 10) the two housings (22, 23) of the bevel gear angle drives (9, 10) are provided with bearing sleeves (24, 25). The bearing sleeves (24, 25), in the fitted condition, project into the interior (34) of a housing (23), to reduce the axial distance between the two connecting journals (13, 16) associated with the bevel gears (41, 43) which engage the bevel gears (49, 57) arranged on the connecting shaft (67), thus improving the force receiving conditions.
