Abstract: A bicycle pedal assembly includes a crank arm, one end of which is pivotally connected to a propulsion axle of a bicycle and another end of which is pivotally connected to a first pivot at one end of an auxiliary crank arm. A pedal is connected to another end of the auxiliary crank arm and a pedal tilt limiter is coupled to the pedal and configured to limit tilt or rotation of the pedal.
Abstract: A removable pedal positioner to engage a crank arm and a pedal of a bicycle to position the pedal in a generally horizontal position. One embodiment comprises a bridge, at least one prong, and a mounting post. The mounting post engages the crank arm while the at least one prong extends past the crank arm to position the pedal in a generally horizontal position. In other embodiments, the positioner utilizes a flexible clamp to secure the positioner to the crank arm thereby positioning the pedal in a generally horizontal position. Upon rotation of the pedal, the device disengages from the crank arm.
Abstract: A pedal assembly includes an axle extending through the passage in the pedal and a nut is inserted into the passage from a first end of the pedal and threadedly connected to a threaded section of the axle. A bearing is mounted to the nut. Another bearing is inserted into the passage from a second end of the pedal and is mounted to the axle. A contact plate extends radially outward from an outer periphery of the axle and includes a friction surface. A crank has a threaded hole with which another threaded section of the axle is engaged. The friction surface includes multiple spikes so as to firmly contact the crank.
Abstract: A pedal structure includes a pedal body having a protrusion extending from an underside thereof. A passage is defined through the protrusion and a separation rib in the passage separates the passage into an upper portion for receiving a threaded rod and a lower portion for receiving a weight. A ridge extends from an inner periphery of the passage and a cover has a groove defined in an outer periphery thereof. The cover is engaged with the passage with the ridge engaged with the groove.
