Alternate Input Connections Single Hand Crank Patents (Class 74/670)
  • Publication number: 20100078980
Abstract: An actuator assembly for adjusting first and second comfort features of a seat assembly includes a housing and a shaft mounted for linear and rotational movement in the housing. A main gear is mounted on the shaft and mounted for rotational movement in the housing. The shaft and main gear are linearly movable between first and second positions relative to the housing. A first cable assembly includes a first pinion gear mounted for rotational movement in the housing. A first rack is mounted for linear movement in the housing. The first rack engages with the first pinion gear such that rotation of the first pinion gear linearly moves the first rack. A first cable is connected to the first rack. The first cable is adapted to be connected to a first comfort feature. A second cable assembly includes a second pinion gear mounted for rotational movement in the housing. A second rack is mounted for linear movement in the housing.

  • Patent number: 4953346
Abstract: A haymaking machine provided with at least one rotor (5) driven in rotation has a drive housing (12) equipped with two gears which mesh with one another and have different diameters and different numbers of teeth. Each of the gears is connected to a shaft extending out of housing (12) and is able to be driven from power takeoff shaft (11) of the tractor. A third gear is provided with a driven shaft (23) and is able to be connected to rotor (5). The third gear able to be meshed with one or the other of the two above-mentioned gears.

  • Patent number: 4823655
Abstract: A multi-speed drive system for a portable lathe is disclosed wherein two or more input drive gears are utilized to drive a cutting tool holder ring. Each of the input drive gears has a different pitch diameter so that it will impart different drive speeds/torque characteristics to the cutting tool holder ring. A main drive gear is interposed between each of the input drive gears and a ring gear attached to the cutting tool holder. The input drive gears are each engaged with the main drive gear and a drive motor is connected to the desired input drive gear.

  • Patent number: 4546671
Abstract: A valve actuator has an electric driving motor for driving an output shaft through reduction gearing and a manual operator for driving the output shaft manually. A drive transfer device for transferring the drive from the electric motor to the manual operating means incorporates an electric switch which is operated by the initial movement of a manual operator of the drive transfer device to cause the motor if rotating to be brought to a stop. Continued movement of the manual operator causes the drive transfer device to transfer the drive to the output shaft from the electric motor to the manual operator. The drive transfer device advantageously includes a clutch between the motor shaft and a worm shaft forming part of the reduction gear. The driven clutch member may form an integral part of a unit which is slidable as a sleeve along the worm shaft but is keyed for rotation to the worm shaft, the unit also having a pinion for meshing with a drive gear forming part of the hand drive.

  • Patent number: 4484492
Abstract: Means are provided for coupling at will a driven shaft (2), intended more particularly for adjusting the orientation of the blades of a boat propellor, either to the output shaft (1) of a motor or to a hand operable member (3). To this end there are provided three coaxial inwardly splined ring-wheels juxtaposed axially and integral respectively, the first two (13,14) with the two shafts and the third one (16) with said member, an outwardly splined hub (15), a tangent wheel (22) integral with said member and coacting with an endless screw (23) operable by means of a crank and screw means actuated by the rotation of a crank mounted on a head (28) and arranged so as to control the axial sliding of the hub by means of thrust bearings (32) and springs (33).

  • Patent number: 4390147
Abstract: A fishing reel is disclosed herein having a frame or cage rotatably supporting a spool for fishing line storage via a turning shaft provided with a driven spool gear. The frame further supports a gear housing having at least three drive gears of varying diameters in mesh with the spool gear and a rotatable crank plate carrying a crank handle which is selectively engageable with a desired one of said drive gears depending upon the speed of spool rotation desired. Limit stops are provided for limiting the extent of crank plate rotation so as to align the crank handle with a desired drive gear and a detent mechanism operates with the crank plate to indicate location of the crank handle with respect to a drive gear having a one-to-one drive ratio with respect to the spool gear.
