Patent number: 9630254Abstract: A tailstock device includes a lower transport unit, a base seat, and a tool unit. The lower transport unit includes a lower transmission mechanism that has a lower leadscrew adapted to be rotatably installed on a bed of a lathe machine and extending in a lengthwise direction. The base seat threadedly engages the lower leadscrew and is driven movably by the transport unit along the lower leadscrew. The tool unit is mounted on the base seat, is movable relative to the base seat in a crosswise direction transverse to the lengthwise direction, and has a lathe center adapted to point toward a headstock of the lathe machine and a carriage adapted to be mounted with a deep-hole drilling tool. The carriage and the lathe center are arranged in the crosswise direction.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2015Date of Patent: April 25, 2017Assignee: Alex-Tech Machinery Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventor: Peter T. Patent number: 8878466Abstract: An electro-mechanical linear actuator unit comprising an actuator housing that accommodates at least two electric drives, each of which, when actuated by a control device, sets an associated drive of a respective spindle drive into rotation for adjusting linear movement of the associated spindle drive in order to produce relative linear adjustment of a control rod. The two electric drives are located in the actuator housing in such manner that relative adjustment can be produced by simultaneous actuation of the two electric drives, as the sum of the adjustment movements of the associated spindle drives, or by actuating a single electric drive, as the adjustment movement of the associated spindle drive. A respective brake is provided, in an area of each of the two electric drives, which can be selectively actuated by the control device to then prevent the adjustment movement of the respective associated spindle drive.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2010Date of Patent: November 4, 2014Assignee: ZF Friedrichshafen AGInventors: Andre Hausberg, Carsten Wintjen, Werner Pfluegen

Patent number: 6675770Abstract: A pressing device for an apparatus for imparting a friction resistance to a rotary shaft driving an engine-output control device directly or indirectly to apply a resistance to an operation of an accelerator. The pressing device is a molded product made of a resinous material whose flexural strength is 50 MPa or higher and flexural modulus of elasticity is 3,300 MPa or higher. When a friction plate is formed compositely with a plate-shaped member to form the pressing device, friction plate is formed of a fluorocarbon resin; and at least one ingredient selected from a whisker whose Mohs hardness is 5 or less, a carbon fiber, and a hard resinous powder.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2000Date of Patent: January 13, 2004Assignee: NTN CorporationInventors: Seiji Sato, Akihiko Matsuoka, Satoru Fukuzawa

Patent number: 6457383Abstract: A rotating or swiveling device of a machine tool, in particular an NC circular milling attachment, with a machine component on bearings which can be rotated or swivelled, and a clamping device for the releasable fixing of the machine component in the desired angled positions. A secure fixing of the rotating or swiveling machine component can, according to the present invention, also be achieved, even without a change of position, through the fact that the clamping device has a clamping component with laterally flexible clamping elements arranged on the support for gripping into a ring groove on the machine component and a pressure component which can be moved against the clamping component to press the clamping elements against at least one side wall of the ring groove.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2000Date of Patent: October 1, 2002Assignee: Deckel Maho Pfronten GmbHInventor: Uwe Kschier

Patent number: 4587871Abstract: NC turret lathe comprising a tool turret rotatable about an indexing axis and mounted for rotation in a turret slide displaceable in a direction parallel to the indexing axis, also comprising a turret indexing drive monitored by a control mechanism for rotating the tool turret, and a slide drive monitored by a control mechanism for displacing the turret slide. In order to decrease the expenditure required to index the tool turret, the slide drive also constitutes the turret indexing drive, and the slide drive control also serves to monitor the turrent indexing drive. An actuatable coupling is provided between the slide drive and the turret to prevent undesired rotation of the turret when it is only to be slidably displaced.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 1983Date of Patent: May 13, 1986Assignee: Index-Werke KG Hahn & TesskyInventor: Heinrich Lahm

Patent number: 4558611Abstract: An angular divider device is described for worktables, toolholder turrets or the like, in which the number of positions of the subdivision is not predetermined and can be of any desired value, even of very small order such as 1.degree. or even less, without the necessity of positions constrained by mechanical arresting devices such as slots and associated latches, the exactness of the position achieved being determined by the coupling of basic fixed and movable crown gear wheels.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 1982Date of Patent: December 17, 1985Assignee: Baruffaldi Frizioni S.p.A.Inventor: Pier C. Patent number: 4222291Abstract: A fixture for indexing a work piece, a machine spindle, or the like permits indexing a single rotation of the work piece or other mechanism in any integral number of equal divisions. Stops for the divisions are made to suit the job by assembling a standard roller chain with as many pins and pin spaces as there are to be divisions and mounting the chain about a tapered body, preferably a cone. Fixtures hold the chain at the plane in which the periphery of the cone is the right diameter to receive the chain and other parts adjust the indexing stop to overlie the roller chain at that plane. Adjustments are provided to adjust the indexing stop peripherally of the cone a short distance in order to bring the indexing stop to the required rotational position. This adjustment may also be used to adjust the rotatable part a fraction of an indexing stop.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 1978Date of Patent: September 16, 1980Inventor: Patrick J. Murphy, Jr.

Patent number: 4126067Abstract: A selectively adjustable tool post for holding a plurality of tools for rapid and selective positioning of any one of the tools in operative position with respect to a work piece on a machine tool. The tool post is formed with base means preferably formed as a plate adapted for securement at a selective location on a bed portion of the machine tool for any given set-up of the machine tool with respect to the shaping of any particular work piece. A body block is rotatably mounted over the base means, and interlocking means in the form of spline teeth are formed on the surfaces between the body block and base plate.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 1977Date of Patent: November 21, 1978Inventor: Enrico R.
