Publication number: 20110316360Abstract: A system and apparatus are disclosed for a linear vibratory drive. In one embodiment, the drive includes a mounting bar coupled to a first flat leaf spring, the first flat leaf spring mounted on a stationary member, where the mounting bar is suitable for mounting a conveyance device such as a linear track or tray. A counterweight is coupled to a second flat leaf spring, where the second flat leaf spring is mounted on the stationary member, and where the counterweight is positioned such that a gap separates the counterweight from the mounting bar. A motor provides a vibrational pulse to the stationary member, thereby vibrating the mounting bar and the counterweight.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 24, 2011Publication date: December 29, 2011Inventor: Brian J. Publication number: 20110285248Abstract: A mechanical amplifier and method for converting a small motion amplitude to a larger motion amplitude are disclosed. The method includes using two or more beams which are connected in series at angles to each other. Undesirable movements arising in the structure are absorbed by the structure through torsion. Each beam is a mechanical motion amplifier, and by connecting these in series, the total amplification is the product of the amplification of the comprised beams. The disclosure also pertains to a device comprising two or more beams connected together at an angle of 90 degrees in one embodiment.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 11, 2011Publication date: November 24, 2011Applicant: MINDRAY MEDICAL SWEDEN ABInventor: Göran Cewers

Publication number: 20110113906Abstract: A device comprising a body part (101) and a functional module (102) is presented. The functional module is situated at least partly in a cavity (121) of the body part and is connected to the body part with a supporting mechanism (103, 104, 105, 106) arranged to allow the functional module to be turned relative to the body part. The supporting mechanism is arranged to move an axis of rotation of the functional module in parallel with a surface of the cavity as a response to turning the functional module relative to the body part. Due to the fact that the axis of rotation is moved when turning the functional module, the free space that is needed around the functional module can be minimized. The device can be e.g. a mobile phone and the functional module can be e.g. a camera element of the mobile phone.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2008Publication date: May 19, 2011Applicant: NOKIA CORPORATIONInventor: Pasi Kemppinen
