Reactant Contains Isocyanate Group Patents (Class 8/115.67)
  • Patent number: 8828098
Abstract: Non-fluorinated blocked polyurethanes are described as extenders and, particularly as textile auxiliaries, for use with fluorochemical polymers in treating substrates, for example fibrous substrates, such as textile fabrics or yarns. The polyurethane is prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate, a blocking agent, and a non-fluorinated isocyanate reactive compound having an average alkyl chain length of 24 to 50 carbon atoms.

  • Publication number: 20080263779
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a treatment composition for polyester and polyester blends including a hydrophilic copolymer and a hydrophilic, reactive polyurethane and the process for treating the textile material. When the treatment composition is applied to a textile which is 100% cellulosic textile material, the treatment composition includes at least one fluorochemical copolymer and at least one hydrophilic reactive polyurethane. In both cases, the treated textile material exhibits both increased oil and grease absorbance and good rinsing properties.
