  • Patent number: 4699625
Abstract: Textile fabrics containing blends of synthetic fibers and cellulosic fibers are dyed in a continuous process such that the fibers of each class are substantially colored and a union dyeing is obtained. The method comprises continuously impregnating the fabric with a dyebath composition comprising a premetallized dyestuff and a reactive resin. After impregnation, the fabric is subjected to a temperature of from 280.degree. to 400.degree. F. to dry the fabric and to cure the dyebath composition on the fabric.

  • Patent number: 4556625
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of photolytically developing a colored image on a cellulosic material. In this method, the material is contacted with a nitrogen containing polymer in solution and a mono-sulfonyl azide compound in solution. The sample is thereafter exposed to a UV-containing light source for an amount of time sufficient to develop a color thereon.

  • Patent number: 4501588
Abstract: The invention provides a method for instantly dyeing a sewing machine thread without interrupting the stitching operation with a sewing machine. The method comprises the steps of adding a dyestuff and/or pigment to a photo-setting resin solution to prepare a dyeing liquid, applying the dyeing liquid to the thread to be colored and subjecting the thread to irradation of ultraviolet rays for setting the dyeing liquid, thereby forming a colored film on the thread. The photo-setting solution is set or hardened by ultraviolet rays, by radical polymerization, cationic polymerization and cross-linking reaction.

  • Patent number: 4448581
Abstract: A process for the washing or rinsing of dyed or printed, continuously advancing width of textile materials, whereby a foam is uniformly applied to one side of the textile material. The foam is produced from a liquid containing one or several surface active agents, together with a compound soluble in the liquid, and having no affinity to the fibers of the textile material to be treated, but displaying a high adsorption capacity for the substances to be washed from the textile material. Immediately following the application of the foam, the widths of the textile material are exposed to a steam treatment and then rinsed. A two-stage embodiment of the process in which immediately preceding the application of the foam a similar foam is applied and removed together with a part of the substances to be washed or rinsed from the textile material. The second stage, which includes the steam treatment, then merely removes the residual substances to be washed or rinsed out.
