Resinous articles colored in this manner can be utilized safely as direct food contact packaging, for example, decorative grass, which enables candies to be placed directly on the grass without incurring the expense of overwrapping the candies with a resin film which meets FDA anmd USDA requirements and which eliminates the hazard involved when candies are inadvertently or unknowingly placed on the decorative grass. The resinuous materials which may be colored by the organic and FD&C pigments include polyolefin resins.

    Abstract: An improved process for dyeing of fibre material, especially textile fibres, by applying to the fibre material at a temperature below the absorption temperature of the dyestuffs and with a goods-to-liquor ratio of 1:1.5 to 1:4, a concentrated aqueous dye liquor, said concentrated aqueous dye liquor containing at least one dyestuff which, in the case of the substrate to be dyed, has affinity to the fibres and which is either soluble or dispersible in water and 0.2 to 10 g/l, preferably 2 to 5 g/l, of at least one nonionic, surface-active agent from the class of ethylene oxide addition products and having a cloud point below 85.degree. C., and finishing of the dyeing by means of a heat treatment, e.g. introduction of saturated steam, superheated steam or hot air, preferably by heating from without, at temperatures of 95.degree. to 140.degree. C.

    Abstract: The invention relates to the preparation of pulverulent formulations of transfer printing dyestuffs.The process is characterized in that the aqueous dispersions of these dyestuffs are mixed with compounds of the formulaR--ZwhereinR denotes a hydrophobic radical with at least 5 C atoms andZ denotes the groups --COOH, --NH.sub.2, --O(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 O).sub.n H, --NX.sub.1 X.sub.2 or --NH(CH.sub.2).sub.m NX.sub.1 X.sub.2,in whichn is 0, 1 or 2,m is 2-6 andX.sub.1 /X.sub.2 is H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl,with the proviso that R represents a non-cyclic aliphatic radical when Z represents COOH,and the aqueous mixtures are converted into dry pulverulent form in a manner which is in itself known.The preparation can easily be dispersed in organic media, for example in organic solvents such as those customary in the preparation of printing pastes, and are outstandingly suitable for the preparation of printing inks for printing temporary supports for heat transfer printing.

C.
