Abstract: A process is disclosed for coloring fiber materials selected from cellulose, natural or synthetic polyamides, and mixtures thereof, which comprises applying to said fiber material a water soluble dyestuff which, in the form of the free acid, has the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.3 is halogen and R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are each independently selected from hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, methoxy and ethoxy, and fixing said dyestuff on said fiber material by the action of an alkaline agent and the optional additional application of heat or steam . The dyestuffs utilized are distinguished by outstanding fastness properties such as fastness to light, wet processing and acid.

Abstract: Dyestuffs of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, m, n, p and X have the meaning given in the description, and their use for dyeing and printing materials containing hydroxyl groups or amide groups, such as textile fibres, filaments and woven fabrics of wool, silk or synthetic polyamide or polyurethane fibres, and for dyeing and printing natural or regenerated cellulose in dyeings and prints which are fast to washing. Blue dyeings and prints which are fast to light and wet processing are obtained.

Abstract: An acid monomethine-metal complex dyestuff of the formula ##STR1## wherein M, Z, R, A, Y, n, a and b have the meaning given in the description. The acid metal complex dyestuffs of the formula I are valuable dyestuffs which are outstandingly suitable for dyeing and printing wool, silk and especially synthetic polyamides, such as NYLON and PERLON, in very clear shades ranging from yellow to blue, and are distinguished by high tinctorial strength, good build-up capacity and affinity and very good fastness characteristics, especially fastness to light.
Abstract: A process for dyeing textile materials, consisting of wool or nylon fibers, with anionic dyes in an aqueous liquor at up to 110.degree. C., wherein dyeing is commenced at a pH of from 7 to 9 and from 0.2 to 5 parts by weight, per 1,000 parts by weight of liquor, of an ester of a saturated C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -carboxylic acid with an alcohol having a tertiary amino group in the 2-position are added at the dyeing temperature to act as a pH regulator.

Abstract: A process for dyeing wool or wool/synthetic blends with 1:1 metal complex dyes or acid metal-free wool dyes from a strongly acid aqueous bath, which comprises dyeing said material in the presence of(a) a quaternization product of a polyalkylene oxide adduct of a fatty amine containing at least 16 carbon atoms and 15 to 100 moles of alkylene oxide, and(b) a free or etherified N-methylolurea or N-methylolmelamine.
