Patent number: 8911508Abstract: The present invention discloses a modifier for modifying a polyester fiber as well as a preparation method and application of the same. The modifier contains ethylene glycol, two-hydroxy-end polyether, dimethyl terephthalate, two-polyether-end modified organosilicon and a metal acetate catalyst. A two-step continuous production process is adopted. The first step is esterification; that is, ethylene glycol, two-hydroxy-end polyether, dimethyl terephthalate, and two-polyether-end organosilicon are added into a reactor, and have an esterification reaction in the presence of the catalyst. In the second step, the materials produced by the esterification are transported to a polymerizer, and have a polymerization reaction under the conditions of high temperature, vacuum and catalyst, producing the high molecular weight polyester/polyether/organosilicon terpolymer with a molecular weight of 1000˜50000 as the desired modifier.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2011Date of Patent: December 16, 2014Assignee: Duplus Chemical Co., Ltd. of Zhangjiagang CityInventor: Jinhui Chen

Patent number: 6652602Abstract: A process for the continuous dyeing of plastic films, such as polyethylene terephthalate, is characterized by passing the film through a dye bath comprised of dye stuffs dissolved, suspended or dispersed in a liquid carrier comprised at least in part of a polymer, preferably a polyol, having at least one free hydroxyl group and a molecular weight within the range of from about 200 to about 600. The hydrogen bonding provided by the hydroxyl group, together with the high molecular weight and high boiling point of the polyol, mitigate against migration of the dye stuff out of the film, i.e., fading of the film, and impart long lasting color fastness to the film. Rapid diffusion of the dye bath into the film is enhanced by thermal and ultrasonic energization of the bath.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2001Date of Patent: November 25, 2003Assignee: N.V. Patent number: 6635347Abstract: A mixed fiber article dyed with disperse dye, composed of fiber dyeable with disperse dye and polyurethane fiber, having a color fastness to a perspiration-alkali test of grade 3 or higher according to the JIS L-0848-A Method and having a surface color shade of 20 or less in terms of L value determined by spectro-colorimetry. The dyed mixed fiber article containing polyurethane fiber can be prepared by dyeing a mixed fiber article composed of disperse dyeable fiber and polyurethane fiber, such as a co-knitted fabric, either in a dye bath in the presence of polyvalent metallic compound and tannic acid or after the co-knitted fabric has been treated in a bath containing polyvalent metallic compound and tannic acid.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2001Date of Patent: October 21, 2003Assignee: Asahi Kasei Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Kiyoshi Yoshida
