Publication number: 20110094352Abstract: One end of a wrench is a first measurement system, such as SAE, and the second end is another measurement system, such as metric, that is close in size to the first end. It is possible to know approximately the correct size wrench needed but not the measurement system. Having two measurement systems in a single tool allows a user to pick a single wrench and have a high probability that one end of the wrench will correctly fit the nut or bolt. The end may be any type of socket, such as open ended or box ended, and the box end may be supplied with a ratchet mechanism. The combination of a first measurement system and a second measurement system on each end, close in size to one another, the ratcheting box end and the ability to reverse the ratchet action direction greatly reduces time and effort in the removal and tightening of bolts and nuts.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 19, 2006Publication date: April 28, 2011Inventor: Fred Reinstein

Patent number: 7093519Abstract: This invention discloses a three-in-one combination wrench. A preferred embodiment features an easily assembled ratchet wrench in the middle of the wrench body, suitable for operation in confined spaces. The combination wrench terminates at one end in a pair of opening jaws for engaging fasteners of various sizes that fit into the jaws; and at the other, in an adjustable mortise-tenon pivotal wrench for approaching fasteners from an optimal angle to maximize torque with least effort. Furthermore, a substantially symmetrical streamlined dual-handle is ergonomically configured for a comfortable holding gesture.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2006Date of Patent: August 22, 2006Inventor: Wen-Kuo Huang

Patent number: 7069820Abstract: A wire connector fastening tool comprises an elongate body having a first end, a second end, an outer hand-engaging surface and an interior surface. The outer hand-engaging surface has a generally uniform outside diameter from its first end to its second end. The interior surface defines an internal axial bore extending through the body from the first end to the second end. The axial bore has a first section with a first inside diameter and a second section with a second inside diameter. The second inside diameter is larger than the first inside diameter. The first section of the bore extends from the first end of the body to a point between the first and second ends of the body. The second section of the bore extends from the first section of the bore to the second end of the body. The first end of the body is adapted to engage with at least a portion of the first wire connector in a manner so that rotation of the body causes rotation of the first wire connector.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2004Date of Patent: July 4, 2006Assignee: D & G Tools LLCInventor: Darrell D. Patent number: 7047844Abstract: A multi-socket wrench is described which includes an elongated main member having a thickness dimension with an upper area, a lower area, a first end and a second end; and, at least two elongated wrench units, e.g. four wrench units. Each wrench unit has a thickness dimension and opposing elongated ends and two sockets positioned side by side thereon. One of the at least two wrench units is rotatably attached at the upper area and another of the at least two wrench units is rotatably attached at the lower area of the first end of the elongated main member. The present invention wrench further includes an attachment means for rotatably attaching two wrench units at a time, to the elongated main member. The attachment means includes an attachment member having a thickness dimension and two fasteners each having a head with a thickness dimension. In other embodiments the attachment means includes an attachment member having a thickness dimension and only one fastener having a head with a thickness dimension.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 1999Date of Patent: May 23, 2006Inventor: Richard J.
