  • Patent number: 8479616
Abstract: A driving device includes a driving shank, a magnetic member mounted in the driving shank, a stop ring secured in the driving shank to stop the magnetic member, and an elastic member biased between the driving shank and the magnetic member. The driving shank has a first end provided with a mounting post and a second end formed with a mounting hole and a receiving chamber. The stop ring has an inner wall formed with a through hole and an outer wall provided with a toothed portion engaging a peripheral wall of the receiving chamber. The magnetic member has a peripheral wall formed with a stop flange that is movable to abut the stop ring. Thus, the elastic member provides a buffering effect to the magnetic member to reduce the pressure applied on the magnetic member.

  • Patent number: 8117949
Abstract: A movable wrench including a screw bar, and an operating element. The bottom surface of the screw bar is urged by a first compressible spring. The hook part of the operating element urges against the bottom surface of the screw bar. As the user depresses the operating end of the operating element, the hook part escape from the bottom surface. The first compressible spring is depressed downward. After the reverse rotation and positioning, the first compressible spring urges against the screw bar again. The operating end is released so that the hook part urges against the bottom surface again.

  • Patent number: 6679139
Abstract: A ratcheting adjustable wrench is disclosed. The wrench has a main body defining a wrench head, handle and fixed jaw. The main body is fabricated of hardened sheet metal formed from laminations. The adjustable wrench has a pin/slot guide mechanism to retain and provide position adjustment for an adjustable jaw. A locking mechanism allows the adjustable jaw to ratchet over the corners of a fastener being tightened. In a locked position, the wrench operates like a standard adjustable wrench. Moving a trigger to an unlocked position allows the worm gear mechanism to shift axially for additional travel. The movable jaw engaged to the worm gear is thereby also allowed to shift position so that the adjustable jaw wrench can rotate over the points of the fastener being torqued.

  • Patent number: 6595089
Abstract: A ratcheting adjustable wrench, having a handle assembly and a head assembly. The handle assembly is pivotally attached to the head assembly. The head assembly includes a fixed jaw and a movable jaw which together may engage a nut. An opening, having an opening top and an opening bottom extends laterally through the fixed jaw. A shaft spans the opening from the opening top to the opening bottom. A rack having teeth is rigidly attached to the movable jaw. A worm gear is slidably mounted on the shaft, which is attached to the fixed jaw and engages the rack. The handle has a contact point which selectively urges the worm gear against the opening top of the fixed jaw to maintain the position of the fixed jaw with respect to the movable jaw to torque the nut.
