  • Patent number: 6789452
Abstract: An increased torque applying pliers which utilizes two separate sets of jaws with each set of jaws having their own pivot axis. Each set of jaws are reversely oriented relative to each other. The sets of jaws are pivotally connected together with this pivot connection also being connected to a handle assembly. The handle assembly comprises two handles which are also pivotally connected together with the pivot axis for the handle being confined within a central cavity that is formed by the jaw members. The utilizing of a separate pivot axis for the handle members which is spaced from the connecting axes that interconnect the jaw members and the handles provides for the application of an increased amount of torque when clamping of the pliers onto an exterior structure.

  • Patent number: 6389626
Abstract: A Tool structure including a tool assembly and two grips. The tool assembly is formed by a first, a second, a third and a fourth arms which are pivotally connected with each other to form a mechanism as a four-link mechanism. The first and second arms and the third and fourth arms respectively form two kinds of tools. Two ends of the grips are respectively pivotally connected with the pivot sections of the first and third connecting sections and the pivot sections of the second and fourth connecting sections. Therefore, when the grips are held and closed to make the tools formed by the first and second arms and the third and fourth arms get close to each other and close, the two grips are not coaxially pivotally rotatable with the first and second arms and the third and fourth arms. Accordingly, the maximum opening extent of the two grips can be reduced for easy holding.

  • Patent number: 5431073
Abstract: A cartridge extractor for extracting broken cartridges from a firearm uses a core rod with an enlarged head. The head is cross slotted so that it will compress as it is being pushed through the broken cartridge and will expand once it has passed the end of the cartridge. A tapered from face on the head cams the head into its contracted position as it passes through the casing. A rearwardly facing shoulder on the cartridge engages the end of the cartridge casing when the head is passed through the casing. The back end of the rod is removably attached to a base that is the same in size and configuration as the base of the cartridge being extracted so that it will cooperate with the extraction mechanism of the firearm. A resilient spacer tube surrounds the rod between the base and the head to assist in centering the extractor in the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 4334376
Abstract: A device for removing a percussion cap from the primer nipple of a firearm comprising a bifurcated plate with a pair of substantially co-planar arms defining an elongated slot therebetween. The slot is open at one end of the plate and closed at the other. The inner edges of the arms are tapered at a predetermined angle, so that distance between the arms decreases from the lower surface to the upper surface of the plate. At the upper surface, this distance is less than the outside diameter of the cap at its skirt, but greater than the diameter of the nipple at the point where the nipple meets the skirt. A handle is joined to the plate at an angle at which sufficient leverage can be generated to remove the percussion cap.

  • Patent number: 4273024
Abstract: An extractor for removing an ammunition case from a sizer die in which the case is stuck after the gripping rim surrounding the head of the case has been broken. The extractor includes a body portion having a rim which is engaged by the end of a reloading ram. A screw projecting from the opposite end of the body portion is received by a threaded bore formed in the primer pocket of the case. The body portion is preferably hexagonally shaped so that it can be rotated ith a wrench to thread a screw into the primer pocket bore. Movement of the reloading ram away from the sizer die thus draws the case from the sizer die.
