Abstract: A medical waste fluid collection and disposal system includes a medical waste fluid collection cart including first and second fluid collection canisters. A valve assembly selectively communicates with the canisters and a valve drive system controls the valve assembly. A liquid level sensor is positioned within each of the canisters. A cart processor communicates with the liquid level sensors and the valve drive system. A cart drain line communicates with the valve assembly and a receptacle, a cart flushing line communicates with the valve assembly and the receptacle and a cart data line and a cart power line communicate with the cart processor and the cart receptacle. A station includes a drain pump that communicates with a drainage system and a station drain line, a flushing pump that communicates with a source of washing liquid and a station flushing line and a station processor in communication with the drain and flushing pumps. A station data line communicates with the station processor.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to kit or assembly of hand-held jewelry tools. The kit includes a least one pair of handles and one or more pairs of interchangeable jaws. Each set of jaws when attached to the pair of handles is adapted to perform a particular jewelry task. Because the kit includes a variety of interchangeable sets of jaws, it is possible to perform many different jewelry making tasks using the present kit.
Abstract: A plier tool for closing clam shell type electrical connectors onto electrical wires includes a pair of handles, an upper jaw and a lower jaw. The upper jaw and the lower jaw are movable between an open position and a closed position. The jaws move relatively closer together during a closing operation upon squeezing together of the handles. An upper die member having a pivotal connection point is pivotally attached to the upper jaw for pivotal movement during the closing operation. The upper die member also has a generally planar upper contact surface. The upper contact surface is adapted to continuously contact and slide upon a lid portion of a clam shell type electrical connector during the closing operation. A lower die member is rigidly attached to said lower jaw and has a lower contact surface. The lower contact surface has a cavity therein sized to receive and retain a base portion of clam shell type electrical connector during the closing operation.

Abstract: Pliers include a left grip, a right grip, a positioned clamping base, a movable clamping base, two clamping members and two gears. Each of the positioned clamping base and the movable clamping base has a notch, a recess, a hole cut on the top of the notch and the bottom of the recess respectively, a through hole bored in the bottom of the notch to communicate with the recess. Two clamping members are respectively fitted in each notch, provided with plural plates, plural curved grooves formed in one of them and plural curved projections formed in the other, a bar and a shaft formed on their tops and their bottoms respectively. Each of the recesses is fitted with a gear provided with a through hole. Thus, the invention can be used to press diverse specifications of conducting line.

Abstract: A gripper to hold a fish upright during hook removal has a pliers-like body. This body includes a first member having an outer handle portion joined to an upper jaw portion and a second member having an inner handle portion joined to a lower jaw portion. The lower jaw portion is pivotally carried in an opening between sidewalls of the upper jaw portion. Bottom edges of outer segments of the upper jaw portion sidewalls have tooth-like abrasions. These abrasions mate with like abrasions on a top wall of a swivel element pivotally attached to the lower jaw portion. When the handle portions of the gripper are squeezed togther so that the jaw and swivel element abrasions compressively engage a lower jaw of a fish, downward movement of the swivel element is inhibited by a locking action between complementarily formed offsets on a bottom surface of the swivel element top wall and on the lower jaw portion.

Abstract: A tool for clamping onto a strut for holding objects such as pipes in place while they are being attached to the struts is disclosed. The clamp has opposing jaws, which are drawn together by movement of a handle, for pinching the lips of the strut and holding firmly thereto while holding objects adjacent the clamp. A handle on the clamp locks into a pinching position and can be released by opposite motion of the handle. Various attachments to the clamp housing can be used for holding different objects. The clamp has adjustable jaw positions for adjustable pinch strengths. The jaws are biased together when not engaging the strut to allow easy access to the strut for engaging the strut lips or removing the clamp from the strut. Use of the clamp allows one man to install pipes faster safer and easier and without the aid of a helper.

Abstract: A plier-like tool having links added between the jaws and the body of the pliers. The links not only extend the length of the jaw side of the pliers, but also pivot relative to each other and perpendicular to the opening and closing direction of the pliers. The screws in these links can be left untightened to permit the links to pivot allowing the jaws to gain access into restricted areas otherwise inaccessible. Even with the link-screws loose the gripping force is transferred through the links to the jaws enabling the user to still grip objects or even retrieve them by simply pulling the pliers back out and letting the links follow. An additional aspect to the flex-link pliers is that the link-screws can be tightened so the links maintain their position relative to each other so the user can create any shape pliers desired.

Abstract: A plastic protective gripping member or guard fits on the jaw of a Vise-Grip type locking wrench whose jaws have lateral protuberances at their tips. The gripping member can be in a form of a block or cup having a slot with internal recesses on each side wall. The gripping member fits onto the jaw and permits swiveling about a transverse axis. The gripping member is installed by pushing it onto the jaw tip and twisting it 90 degrees. Nylon is a perferred material because of its comparatively high coefficient of friction even when wet or oily. The gripping surface can be concave, ridged, or flat.

Abstract: This is a constrictor wrench which can compensate for a wrench not being the exact fit to match the nut or object which it is to rotate or hold. The wrench has a first jaw and a second jaw with the face of the first jaw modified so that it has a recess which is substantially arcuate in shape and contour. A swinging jaw is provided which has one edge having a contour matching with the contour of the first jaw. The second edge of the swinging jaw is planar. A pressure arm connects the swinging jaw to the first fixed jaw. Biasing means are provided against the pressure arm to force the swinging jaw along the arcuate face of the top jaw away from the mouth of the wrench.

Abstract: A tool in the form of specially constructed plyers for removing orthodontic brackets and tubes which have been adhesively bonded to the labial, buccal or lingual surfaces of the anterior and/or posterior teeth for orthodontic treatment. The tool is equipped with a spring-loaded catch having a tip which fits under the edge of the bracket, and with a head which engages the top of the tooth, so that when the handles of the tool are squeezed together the bonded bracket is removed from the surface of the tooth without any tendency to torque the tooth during the process.

One of the jaws, in one embodiment, carries a platen surface against which one end of the fastener abuts while the opposed jaw carries a pin forming member which is received in the hollow tubular portion of the fastener and which is subsequently deformed or cold formed to form a locking, retaining collar or flange. In another embodiment, the crimping tool is provided with a dual pin forming jaw and a dual eyelet or fastener may be acted upon in a single operation of the crimping tool.
Abstract: A tool and method of using the same are provided for installing a resiliently deformable crash resistant seal between an automobile gasoline tank and filler tube, whereby the filler tube may freely slide axially with respect to the seal without disrupting the latter or rupturing any fixed connection between the tank, tube, and seal.
