Perforator And Inker Patents (Class 81/9.22)
  • Patent number: 6345553
Abstract: An ink application device for tattooing or for making permanent make-up includes a handle, a needle drive, a needle, a needle nozzle and a protective cap. The device further includes at least two modules releasably connected to one another. One of the modules is formed as a reusable base module with an integrated needle drive, and the other module is a sterilized disposable module in which all components of the manual device capable of being infected by bodily fluids of a customer are integrated. The device can be constructively divided into two or three separate modules: a basic module, a disposable or hygienic module and an optional ink module. The basic module corresponds to the handle that includes the needle drive and is designed such that the hygienic module can be safely attached and connected to the integrated needle drive.

  • Patent number: 6282987
Abstract: A contact bar assembly for a tattooing device having a spring saddle frame comprising an arcuate contact arm supporting a contact screw for making electrical contact with the contact spring. The proximate end of the contact arm is slotted for adjustment in a longitudinal direction. The distal end of the contact arm has a cylindrical lug disposed horizontally adapted to receive a cylindrical rod insert having a threaded axial bore. The lug has a pair of opposed slots for reception of the threaded contact screw, which also threads through the rod insert enabling adjustment of the contact screw in vertical or angular movement in the lug. The contact bar assembly is lightweight, balanced, and adjustment thereof is possible with the opposite free hand by either a right or left-handed tattooist.

  • Patent number: 6264637
Abstract: A marking syringe which allows an individual using the syringe to inject a fluid such as a vaccine into an animal and, at the same time, mark the location of the injection on the animal. More specifically, the marking syringe includes a vaccine syringe and an ink dispenser connected to a handle. Activation of the handle simultaneously activates the vaccine syringe and the ink dispenser. The vaccine syringe is connected to a source of vaccine and a source of ink is provided. After connection of the vaccine and ink sources, the syringe needle is inserted into the animal and a syringe handle is actuated. As the handle is actuated, a vaccine syringe and an ink dispenser both discharge their contents. The position of the ink dispenser relative to the vaccine syringe is such that the discharged ink marks the animal in the approximate location of the vaccine injection.

  • Patent number: 6263762
Abstract: A device has ten needle pipes (12) containing movable needles (13) and arranged in two superimposed lines on a write head (7). Each needle pipe (12) is secured to a table (23) which can be motored-driven in two horizontal directions, so that the needle pipe opening (9) can be moved over a predetermined identification field on the animal skin. Programmed-controlled means (47-49; 56-58) are provided for making the needles (13) vibrate vertically at predetermined points within identification field, depending on the characters to be tattooed. The needle points thus vibrate out of the needle pipe opening (9) and penetrate into the animal skin down to a particular depth. The device is characterised in that it has a pumping device (38) for pumping the tattooing liquid downwards through the needle pipe (12) while the needle pipe (12) is moved at least in one direction of displacement, so that the needles (13) are forcibly and permanently surrounded by tattooing liquid during said displacement of the needle pipe (12).

  • Patent number: 6206270
Abstract: A method of assembling needles for eyebrow makeup comprises the steps of inserting short needles into holes, wrapping a thermoplastic tube onto distal ends of short needles, inserting a long needle through thermoplastic tube and one hole such that sharp points of the needles contact top surface of planar heat-proof plate, moving needles and fastener plate assembly into oven to heat for integrally forming a needle assembly, taking needle assembly and fastener plate assembly from oven, removing needle assembly from the fastener plate assembly, inserting needle assembly into a hole through a tapered portion of fastener body for compressing the sharp ends of needles, and soldering needles together form a complete needle assembly.
