Latched Stripper Released By Tool Return Patents (Class 83/131)
  • Patent number: 10543522
Abstract: A processing unit of a machine tool for the punching processing of workpieces, in particular metal sheets, has a punching tool carrier configured to receive a punching tool and a stripper carrier for a stripper. The punching tool carrier can be moved by a punch drive along a stroke axis by a transverse drive element being driven by a punch drive motor relative to the punching tool carrier with a transverse drive movement along a transverse movement axis which extends in the transverse direction of the stroke axis. The stripper carrier can be moved along the stroke axis by a stripper drive, and the transverse drive element of the punch drive during the transverse drive movement can be moved relative to the stripper carrier along the transverse movement axis and the punching tool carrier and the stripper carrier can be moved relative to each other along the stroke axis.

  • Patent number: 4646599
Abstract: A punch press having a hydraulic actuator for extending and retracting the ram, a stripper sleeve coaxial with and guidably engaging the ram, and a hydraulically operated clamp encircling the stripper sleeve and normally in a release condition guidably engaging the stripper sleeve. Hydraulic fluid pressure supply apparatus is operable to a first condition supplying fluid pressure to the hydraulic ram actuator to move the ram forwardly, and a stripper clamp spring yieldably urges the stripper sleeve forwardly into clamping engagement with the workpiece as the ram is moved forwardly. The hydraulic fluid pressure supply apparatus is operable to a second condition supplying fluid pressure to the hydraulically operated clamp to clamp the stripper sleeve against movement and to also supply fluid pressure to the hydraulic ram actuator to move the ram to a return position while the clamp holds the sleeve against return movement.

  • Patent number: 4216566
Abstract: An apparatus for tenderizing a comestible product, such as meat, comprising an intermittently advanced horizontal conveyor for conveying a product to be processed underneath a set of knives in a knife carriage supported for vertical reciprocation toward and away from the conveyor. The knife carriage has a plurality horizontal plate-like members fixed in vertical spaced relative to one another and discrete knife assemblies each comprising a rod-like member slidable in closely spaced vertically aligned apertures of upper plate-like members and extending to opposite sides thereof. The rod-like members each have a flange at the upper side of an intermediate plate-like member normally engaging the same. A discrete compression spring surrounding each of the rod-like members is interposed between the flange thereon and the under side of an upper plate-like member which is adjustable towards and from the intermediate plate-like member.
